Scottish actress Kelly MacDonald is grateful her rocker husband Dougie Payne is on a break from his band Travis - because the hiatus has left him free to babysit their son while she pursues her acting career.
The guitarist is currently spending time with his family while his bandmate Fran Healy promotes his solo record and he has been taking care of the couple's first child, Freddie, who was born in 2008, while his actress wife has been filming Boardwalk Empire with Martin Scorsese.
MACdonald admits she's glad her husband has been on hand to help out, but often feels guilty about leaving him to look after their son on his own.
She says, "When Douglas started his hiatus, things got a bit nuts for me and I started to work a bit more. He's an amazing dad and he's had to do a lot more than I'm happy with. As a mum I want to be there doing it. It goes so quickly."
