Grammy Award winner Kelly Clarkson's first Christmas album Wrapped In Red debuts at #3 on the Billboard Top 200 chart selling over 69,700 units. This marks the biggest holiday album debut for a female artist since 2010.
Kelly spent this past week shooting her upcoming yet-to-be titled Christmas special which will air on NBC on December 11th. The special was shot at The Venetian Resort & Casino in Las Vegas and will be produced by Done and Dusted Productions.
Wrapped In Red is available now at all digital and physical providers. A special vinyl edition of the album is also available at KellyClarkson.com. The album features brand new instant classics such as the first single, "Underneath The Tree," and title track, "Wrapped In Red" as well as Christmas favorites, "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas", "Blue Christmas", "Run Run Rudolph," "Please Come Home For Christmas" and many more.
The Los Angeles Times states the first single, "Underneath The Tree" is a "remarkably cheery single", while Billboard says, "It's not hard to imagine other pop stars covering the tune in a decade's time." "Underneath The Tree," was written by Kelly and hit songwriter/producer Greg Kurstin as well as produced by Kurstin. Kelly enlisted Kurstin who was one of her partners on the Grammy Award winning album Stronger. Together, Kelly and Greg bring a fresh, contemporary sound to this new holiday music ensuring the songs are big hits and evergreen holiday favorites.
Kelly Clarkson has released 5 studio albums (Thankful, Breakaway, My December, All I Ever Wanted, Stronger), 1 Greatest Hits album, sold over 20 million albums worldwide, 10 million albums in the US and has had 10 singles in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart.
