Album Sampler

Looks like we’ve found another Queen Brit with the street urban soul and youth to make heads turn in the industry. Keisha White is doing just that. At 17 she’s getting all the recognition, home and abroad, from the ever so flourishing r’n’b scene. Listening to this album sampler it makes you feel proud to feel that industry have found another rising star to make shock waves overseas. Clearly she has all the right people backing her. The beats are all well arranged with real crossover potential for the mass market. ‘Don’t Care Who

Knows’ is classic, sophisticated r’n’b that features Cassidy, who makes a smooth delivery to add real style to the track. ‘Don’t Fool A Woman In Love’ has real groove and pop party potential to get you dancing, as ‘The Weakness In Me’ captures a more soul sound that relates to Gabrielle. Finally there’s ‘Open Like So’ has a real positive, clean cut vibe that will surely appeal to many young souls out there.

What really stands out is Keisha White. I remember reviewing Joss Stone while she was starting to come through and it was clear she had something. Keisha has a similar uniqueness that grabs you. I love her honest expression of sensual street soul. All the tracks have different styles and Keisha copes and adapts well with real individuality. She’s got a great range and confident delivery. She’s a cool kid on the block who’s got soul and a surprising maturity for one so young.

I enjoyed listening to this album sampler. It has a nice sound that is honest and positive. You can’t deny a rising star. It’s nice to get caught in the wave with them. You could enjoy this album on a lazy Sunday afternoon thinking about good things or stick in on in the car, sing along, and look forward to the summer.
