Katy Perry doesn't have much luck with her backing dancers. Two years after the famous 'left shark' incident, another of her escort has faced trouble while trying to move in a restrictive costume. At last night's Brit Awards, one of them promptly tripped and fell off the stage.

The singer is obviously well known for her eccentric stage set-ups, and that often includes a lot of crazy costumes - some of which can be quite difficult to work with. Wednesday night's (February 22nd 2017) Brit Awards was no different; as well as two people wearing stilts and outsize, suited up skeleton costumes representing Theresa May and Donald Trump, a mass of dancers also moved with outfits in the shape of small houses.

Unfortunately, one of those houses apparently couldn't see where they were going and lost their footing, tumbling into the front row of the audience as Katy Perry and collaborator Skip Marley sang along to their new single 'Chained To The Rhythm'.

The dancer probably would have gained more sympathy from the internet had Katy Perry never had any trouble with backing performers in the past, but the clip soon got the title of 'new left shark' in reminiscence of her Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show where one of the dancers who was dressed as a shark started improvising after forgetting their moves.

The Brit Awards performance came just a day after the release of the official video for 'Chained To The Rhythm' which saw the singer in a kind of fifties-style futuristic amusement park, reflecting the eerie utopia suggested in the lyrics. The song is the first single from her forthcoming fifth studio album, the details of which are yet to be announced.

Katy Perry is set to perform live again at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 5th 2017.
