Katy Perry has declined a request from ex-husband Russell Brand to have his scenes edited out of her forthcoming documentary 'Part of Me'. The British comedian agreed to appear in the film when he was still married to Perry, but following the breakdown of their relationship, he's had second thoughts.
The teaser trailer suggests the couple's split will feature prominently in the movie, though Brand is understandably worried about how he will be portrayed in a film essentially attempting to build on Perry's reputation as a pop superstar. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the comedian is "more than a little nervous" about the film and phoned Perry to ask if scenes shot while the couple were still married could be deleted. That request "was turned down" and Brand is unlikely to hold the power to stop movie makers from including the footage, as he agreed to being filmed in the first place. The film will include a performance by Perry at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on November 23, 2011, though most of its content will concentrate on life on the road, and specifically, Perry's personal life.
Katy and Russell have both moved on from each other, with the former spotted getting close to the Florence and the Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd at the Coachella Music Festival recently.
