Katie Price was taken ill backstage at ‘Loose Women’.
Price’s illness was first announced when the ‘Loose Women’ panel did their usual link during ‘This Morning’. Host Andrea McLean explained: "You may notice that we are currently one woman short of a 'Loose Women' panel. It's because Katie Price had a medical emergency in our meeting room this morning.”
"She is resting up in our sick bay with our medic and we're now trying desperately to find someone who can take her seat in time. It is absolute chaos behind the scenes here!” Price was replaced on the panel by friend Michelle Heaton, who had been originally booked as a guest.
A source told The Mirror that Price was suffering from food poisoning, after having sushi for dinner the night before. "She had sushi for dinner last night and has been feeling horrendous ever since. She spent most of the evening in the bathroom,” the source said.
"She desperately wanted to go on ;Loose Women' today but was terrified of being sick on live TV. Katie had no choice but to pull out. Hopefully she'll be back on her feet soon.” In a video shared on the show, Price was shown lying under a duvet backstage as a medic attended to her.
“I haven't been sick for about an hour now but I still feel sick and obviously both ends - it’s not nice,” Price said. The medic then told her: “Your blood pressure is a bit on the low side. I’d recommend you probably didn’t [go on], probably go and rest and have fluids. That’d be the best advice, not to sit under hot lights and carry on.”
