Represented by celeb attorney Lisa Bloom, Griffin has called a press conference on Friday morning to respond to the fallout.
Following the PR disaster of her Donald Trump ‘severed head’ photoshoot earlier this week, comedienne Kathy Griffin looks like she’s trying to fight back against what she calls “bullying from the Trump family”, calling a press conference for later today.
In the company of attorney Lisa Bloom, the 56 year old star will be looking to reverse the tide of condemnation over the images that emerged from a recent photoshoot with provocative celeb snapper Tyler Shields, in which Griffin is seen holding up a prop of the bloody, severed head of president Trump.
Kathy Griffin is fighting back
The controversial shoot, conducted by Tyler Shields, has now lost Griffin her annual CNN New Year's Eve gig.
The fallout from Kathy Griffin’s now-notorious Donald Trump ‘severed head’ photoshoot continues, as CNN has announced that it has cut all ties with the comedienne and that she will not return as the co-host of the network’s annual New Year’s Eve programme.
“CNN has terminated our agreement with Kathy Griffin to appear on our New Year's Eve program,” the broadcaster said in a statement on Wednesday (May 31st), bringing an end to Griffin’s long-standing role as co-host of the annual show alongside Anderson Cooper, which she has held down since 2007.
Kathy Griffin has been fired from CNN
Kathy Griffin apologises for over-stepping the line with gory image.
Sometimes political statements can go way too far. Kathy Griffin is under fire after partaking in a special photoshoot with Tyler Shields that featured her holding the bloody, severed head of the President. Fake, obviously. But nonetheless, there has been uproar from Trump supporters everywhere.

In fact, it hasn't just been Trump supporters. Even anti-Trump figures have expressed disappointment that one of their peers could have put forth a message of such violence at a time where the threat of World War 3 feels very real. At least now the 56-year-old comedian has apologised for her actions.

After much speculation, the 54-year-old was finally announced as the newest host of 'Fashion Police'.
Since Joan Rivers tragically died this past September, there has been much speculation as to who may be replacing the late comedienne as the host of E!'s 'Fashion Police,' and after much speculation, Kathy Griffin has accepted the vacant position.

The 54-year-old comedienne will be joining a panel that includes Giuliana Rancic, Kelly Osbourne and another new addition, celebrity and TV personality Brad Goreski.
The 54 year-old actress recently revealed becoming the host of 'Fashion Police' is "definitely something" she is considering as "there's an emotional tie" between herself and the late comedienne.
Since Joan Rivers tragically died this past September, there has been much speculation as to who may be replacing the late comedienne as the host of E!'s 'Fashion Police,' and earlier this month Kathy Griffin revealed she has been offered the gig.
Griffin confirmed she was offered the hosting gig for 'Fashion Police'
Since then, however, there hasn't been any news on the 54 year-old accepting the hosting role, but while Griffin attended the Goldie Hawn's Inaugural Love in For Kids event in Beverly Hills Friday (Nov 21st), she implied to Us Weekly the job opportunity may be something she can't pass up.
But the show will no longer be weekly, instead only airing during awards season.
It seems that Kathy Griffin may have finally decided to sign on as the new host of E!’s ‘Fashion Police’. TMZ are reporting that the flame haired comedian has now been confirmed as the show’s new host, replacing the late Joan Rivers.
Is Kathy Griffin the new host of 'Fashion Police'?
According to the site, River’s daughter Melissa, who also serves as the series’ producer, will be joining Kathy along with returning co-hosts Giuliana Rancic and Kelly Osbourne. However it is still unclear as to whether fellow co-host George Kotsiopoulos will also stay on.
However, the 54 year-old comedienne admitted she was hesitant to be the late icon's successor.
Since Joan Rivers tragically died this past September, many fans of the late comedienne and E!'s 'Fashion Police' have been speculating on who could possibly be her replacement as the show's host, but one name that has always come up is the equally as feisty Kathy Griffin.
Griffin revealed she was offered the hosting gig at 'Fashion Police'
"They did offer it to me," the 54 year-old comedienne told Access Hollywood of Rivers' former gig on Tuesday (Nov 4th). However, she was very hesitant in accepting the offer. "I don't know if the situation is correct at this time for me, or right for me at this time," she admitted.
The Daytime Emmy Awards, held on Sunday 23rd June in Los Angeles, have raised some eyebrows owing to the conduct of the show's hosts. Nevertheless there some surprising winners in amongst the old favourites including CBS soap The Young and the Restless' which took home almost half the drama awards.
The Daytime Emmy Awards were held on Sunday (June 23) and there were some surprising winners in amongst the usual contenders. The 39th annual awards show was held at the Beverly Hills Hilton and attracted a whole host of glitterati.
Kathy Griffin hosted the awards show.
The comedienne made sure she saw in the new year with Cooper, whether he wanted it or not
Kathy Griffin made it seven years in a row when she hosted CNN’s New Year’s Eve special alongside anchor Anderson Cooper on New Year's Eve. In her previous seven appearances Kathy has been prone to the occasional piece of eccentricity and for her latest chance to ring in the new year, she was on arresting form again.
Griffin and Cooper brought the laughs once again
Griffin and Cooper have become a formidable team on New Years Eve and the 2013/14 celebration offered no exception to the rule, as the pair brought the laughs and cheer in abundance, but it was Griffin's own performance that stood out from the pack. In the past, Griffin has cursed on live television, stripped down to her undies, simulated sexual acts and more during her tenure with Cooper, prompting Cooper to take drastic measures this year.
'The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones' actress has topped a poll of celebrities whose search engine results usually lead to websites containing malware, spyware, viruses and more
Lily Collins is a young, beautiful and talented actress who is gradually making her way to the top of the Hollywood hierarchy through her natural good looks and admirable acting talent. She also happens to be the biggest threat to the safety of your PC or laptop as the actress has been singled out as the 'most dangerous' celebrity name on the web.
Lily Collins, beautiful and dangerous
According to a report from anti-virus software McAfee, Collins poses the biggest threat of any celebrity on the internet in infecting your computer with a virus or malware. The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones star offers the biggest array of 'risky clicks' online, and if you were to add the terms 'nude images' or 'free apps' then the chances of accidentally stumbling on to a site chocked full of malicious threats is increased even further.

The actress has replaced Emma Watson as the celeb most likely to get your computer a virus next time you go to 'research' her
Next time you need to do a little independent 'research' on the actress Lily Collins, you best be careful what you click on, as the actress has topped a poll ranking the most virus-friendly celebrity names on the web. According to a McAfee poll, the The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones-star poses the biggest risk of landing you on a malicious site should you go searching for her name for whatever purpose you may have in mind.
Lily Collins is a dangerous woman... on the web
Last year, it was Emma Watson that topped the chart as the most dangerous celebrity, but the Brit star was nowhere to be seen in the top ten of the female-dominated list of malware-friendly celebrity names. Avril Lavigne, Sandra Bullock, Kathy Griffin and Zoe Saldana completed the top five, whilst Jon Hamm was the only male star to get a name check in the top ten. The rest of the top ten was made up of Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Adriana Lima and Emma Roberts.

How on earth has the young actress earned such a risky accolade?
Lily Collins has been names the "most dangerous celebrity" of the year by security company McAfee after it was discovered that typing in the 24 year-old Mortal Instruments actress' name yielded more "risky" results, i.e. malicious websites, than any other.
She May Look Harmless But...
Though it may not be an accolade to be proud of, Lily being identified as the most virus-laden online name of the year serves as a warning for those who seek information on their favorite stars, films, or TV shows: cybercriminals are adept at taking advantage of the latest cultural trends to net unsuspecting web surfers.

Kathy Griffin's talk show wont be coming back for a third season, the comedienne announced herself last night.
Kathy Griffin has had her chat show, Kathy, taken from the air by the Bravo network amidst poor viewing figures after the comic announced the information during her stand up show in Cincinnati last night (April 7). The comedienne later confirmed the news during a Twitter conversation with Perez Hilton, although the end of her show will not be signalling the end of her tenure with Bravo.
Kathy Griffin wont be bringing back her show for another series
Kathy's announcement that the late night series would not be returning for a third series was met with rounds of boos from the audience at her stand up gig, who also quipped about the continuing drop in quality output from the station, a Cincinnati Inquisitor review for the show read. Future programming from the channel will however feature a series of one off shows from the comedienne that will differ from her chat-based format of her last show, continuing a relationship between employer and employee that has lasted since Kathy's double Emmy reality series Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List was first aired. Her first series with the network was taken from the air in 2010.

Kathy Griffin's talk show, Kathy, has been axed by Bravo and wont be returning for a third season.
Kathy Griffin's talk show, Kathy, has been cancelled by Bravo, effective at the end of the current season. The comedienne announced that her show wont be given a third series during her stand-up performance at Cincinnati's Taft Theatre over the weekend, news that was greeted by a barrage of boo's by the disgruntled audience, as reported by the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Griffin addressed the issue to her stunned audience who clearly weren't happy at the news, before she eventually confirmed her statement again after the show in a tweet to Perez Hilton that read "Sad but tru." During the show, the comic managed to switch her axing around for comic effect, saying that the cancelation of her show only confirms the thoughts of those "predicting the demise of Bravo."

Kim and Kanye Have Kompany! It's the news we were all 'kind of' expecting, but Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have finally announced they are to have their first child together. Great news for the A-list couple, but why do the Californian courts presume Kris Humphries is the father?
No More Mr Nice It looks as though Justin Bieber has had just about enough of the paparazzi in California. After the sad news that one photographer was killed after dangerously trying to obtain snaps of the young singer, Bieber has called on the government to clamp down on high speed car chases between celebrities and the paparazzi.
This time of year must be starting to feel a little like Groundhog Day for Kathy Griffin. Every year that she appears on CNN’s New Year’s Eve special, with her pal Anderson Cooper, she does something controversial, winds up half of America in the process, then refuses to apologize for it. CNN are no fools, of course. They know that Kathy’s going to do something vaguely outrageous if there’s a camera rolling in the near vicinity and they know that she’ll divide opinion; that’s what gets the ratings in. This year (just in case you missed the news), Kathy chose to attempt to shove her head into Anderson’s crotch to kiss his ‘crown jewels.’
Appearing on the Late Show with David Letterman, Griffin said “my mother was livid, my mom was livid again. People are tweeting things like ‘I didn’t even watch the show but now I have to explain to my children what you did.’” Unaplogetic, then, as ever.
This latest Griffin-related media storm, however, hasn’t put the Bravo channel off of their decision to allow Kathy her own live talk show. In fact, they’re probably glad of the attention that her appearance on CNN has generated in the comedian. Kathy will air on Bravo on January 10, at 10pm EST.
Hmm, seems not everyone was laughing at Kathy Griffin's little skit with Anderson Cooper during CNN's New Year's Eve coverage on Monday evening (December 31, 2012). In case you're one of the few people who haven't yet watched the YouTube footage, the veteran comedienne got down on her knees and pretended to - ahem - pleasure her openly gay best friend. On live television.
Cooper looked pretty uncomfortable, though Griffin seemed to be having a great time and made reference to the incident on numerous occasions. The on-screen pairing of Cooper and Griffin is becoming somewhat of a New Year's Eve tradition, though the comedienne seems to do something stupid every time. In 2009 she swore, last year she attempted to strip down to her underwear. This year was perhaps her most shocking routine yet, and Twitter users across American really let her have it. One said, "I'm not fond of Anderson Cooper, but I can't imagine what he did to deserve being paired with Kathy Griffin. Did he eat a baby?" Another said, "Anderson Cooper is great. Kathy Griffin is so so awful." The general consensus appeared to be that the double-act is getting pretty tired, summed up by one user who said, "Kathy Griffin: 'Something something blah blah blah!' Anderson Cooper: 'That's not true.' Repeat x 1000."
Watch the awkwardness unfold for yourself, below:

Kathy Griffin caused outrage during CNN's Live New Year's Eve coverage on Monday (January 31, 2012), attempting to simulate oral sex on her openly gay friend Anderson Cooper. Griffin, who swore during her 2009 broadcast, referred to Cooper's genitalia early in the show, before later getting down on her knees.
According to the New York Daily News, Cooper told Griffin about Twitter suggestions that the two play a drinking game whenever he giggled at one of Griffin's jokes. The comedienne said, "I'm going to tickle your sack. You can say sack [on air] That's not bad." Cooper stammered, "I don't know what you're talking about. I have no sack of gifts here. A sack of Christmas presents. I did not bring a sack of Christmas presents," though Griffin replied, "Do you call your private parts your Christmas presents. Typical hot guy."
The exchange led to the eventual 'incident' just after midnight, when Anderson handed over to reporter Gary Tuchman in Eastport, Maine, where it is tradition to kiss a sculpture of a sardine that drops from the top of a building. However, when the camera cut back to Cooper and Griffin, the comedienne was trying to get at his crotch. "Did you drop something," he asked. "No, I was kissing your sardine. I can do this all night long," she replied.

Lindsay Lohan in Liz & Dick has had mixed reviews to say the least. And when we say mixed, we mean a mix between quite bad, really bad and worst thing ever. While some reviewers were moved to say the film could be enjoyed as a drinking game, most were frightfully damning of her turn as Elizabeth Taylor.
Perhaps, though, the critics give Lohan a bad time. She swears, drinks, gets arrested and steals, which aren't the tropes of a widely loved Hollywood actress. But if the critics were harsh (which they probably weren't), her fellow celebs took to twitter to take the Liz & Dick bashing to the next level, and it wasn't as if Lohan didn't have it coming, tweeting, "Hey guys! #LizandDick is on @lifetimetv! Got any questions for me? Please send them my way." Well here we go; "Lindsay Lohan had a better British accent in the parent trap and that is not a joke," model Chrissy Teigen quipped, while comedian Kathy Griffin weighed in, saying "The set director had a sense of humor," along with a screengrab of Lohan decked out in furs, passing by a sign that read: "Shoplifting is a crime."
"I get the feeling the phrase 'It is what it is' was said a lot in the editing room," musician Aimee Mann wrote, while comedian Patton Oswalt chimed in, saying "'We're next.' -- Ben Affleck and J-Lo, texting each other. #lizanddick". He later added: "Dear @lindsaylohan: I give you permission to Tweet me to smithereens when I do Lifetime's CHAZ BONO: THE CRUELEST CUT in March. #lizanddick."
Kathy Griffin, no makeup. It’s sort of two things that just don’t really go together, isn’t it? Well, the comedienne gave her fans quite a shock this week after being photographed in Los Angeles on a hike with boyfriend Randy Bick, who just happens to be 18-years her junior.
Wearing a Jimmy Kimmel t-shirt, sports shorts and sneakers, a fair-skinned Kathy looked almost unrecognizable without makeup, though seemed at-ease while in getting on some exercise at Hollywood’s popular Runyon Canyon. Her fresh-faced appearance is certainly all natural, and according to the Huffington Post, Griffin tweeted to a fan in June, “I SWEAR I haven't had anything in YEARS! Promise. No Botox, fillers NUTHIN!” We believe you Kathy! And as for her younger beau? Griffin recently said, “He's a really nice normal guy with a nice normal job who doesn't care for the spotlight, and I like it that way and he does too”.
Now recognized as one of the top female comedians in the United States, Griffin became the first comedian to have four television specials in a year, in 2011. She was rumored to be dating Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak in 2007 and the pair attended the Emmy Awards together, though the relationship fizzled out.
