Kate Moss is back designing for Topshop after her several sell-out collections for the high street shop cemented her role as one of the company's most coveted designers. Her previous work for the fashion brand proved so successful that she has joined forces with the successful UK fashion brand and its owner, Sir Philip Green, once more.

"I am personally thrilled that Kate wanted to come back to Topshop to work with us again," said Green, reported by The Telegraph. "The first time around was such a lot of fun, and she has been sorely missed."

Green and Moss have been friends for some time and first collaborated back in 2007 for Moss' first Topshop collection, which was an instant worldwide hit. The new collection, which is said to be in progress, will apparently consist of around 40 styles, including shoes and accessories. The new line will be sold in 40 shops across the world, with new pop-ups in some department stores, according to Green.

39 year-old Moss, who has teamed up with Longchamp and The Carphone Warehouse in her Topshop break said "I have really missed being involved in the design process, and working with the team at Topshop. Now more than ever, with London being at the forefront of fashion [...] it feels like I'm back home working with Topshop."

A source indicated that the decision to collaborate once more came when Green and Moss were holidaying together in the summer. "Kate was talking about London as a style city, and how it was becoming ever more relevant on the international stage," the insider said. "She's friends with Philip, so they said, 'Let's do it.'"

The model and mother-of-one attended Topshop's catwalk show with her 11 year-old daughter Lila at London Fashion Week in September. The brand places a great emphasis on the relationship between the ready-to-wear clothes sold in their shops and the world of high fashion and designer clothing.

Kate's 40th birthday next year will coincide with Playboy's 40th anniversary. To commemorate the occasion, Moss will be featured as a cover girl in a special issue magazine.
