Kate Hudson is in negotiations for romantic comedy 'Something Borrowed'.
The 'Bride Wars' actress would join Colin Egglesfield and Ginnifer Goodwin in the movie, which is based on the 2005 debut novel of the same name from Emily Giffin.
It centres around the tale of a Manhattan lawyer - played by Goodwin - who becomes romantically involved with her best friend's fiance after her 30th birthday.
Filming on the movie - directed by Luke Greenfeld and scripted by Jennie Snyder Urman - will begin next month.
Kate has starred in a number of romantic comedies throughout her career, including 2003's 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days', 2004's 'Raising Helen' and 2008's 'My Best Friend's Girl'.
She has a number of movies coming up this year and next, including comedy 'Earthbound' with Whoopi Goldberg and Kathy Bates - which tells the tale of a woman suffering from cancer who falls in love - and drama 'Big Eyes' with Thomas Haden Church.
