Kate Bosworth is designing a ''multi-media evolution'' clothing line for Topshop.

The fashionable star has teamed up with the high street retailer to create a special bespoke collection, and the company has now revealed details of the mysterious high-tech project.

Justin Cooke, Topshop's chief marketing officer, told The Telegraph newspaper it would be a ''multi-media evolution'' involving clothes, adding: ''We are a clothing brand after all.''

Probed further, Justin conceded: ''It's about so much more, like music and lots of other stuff'', teasing: ''You couldn't guess what it is even if you tried''.

Kate is the new face of Topshop and starred in their Christmas campaign, which saw her warbling along to 'Winter Wonderland' in the advert.

This update comes after she admitted during London Fashion Week: ''I'm working a little bit with Topshop so I'm excited for you guys to see what we come up with.''

The actress is known for her impeccable style and is a fan of quirky British fashion, which she prefers to the laid-back surfer vibe in her native California.

Kate said in the past: ''The individual expression in London fashion is fantastic. I visited Portobello market this trip and picked up a few great treasures.

''My favorite British designers are Stella McCartney, Christopher Kane, JW Anderson, Preen, Jonathan Saunders and Alexander McQueen - and I'm a big fan of Tabitha Simmons for accessories.''
