Fact: British rockers Kasabian have been announced as one of the headliners for the 2014 Benicassim Festival in Spain. Also on the bill are rapper Tinie Tempah, Paul Weller and Manic Street Preachers. The festival takes place from 17-20 July (14).

Fact: Bookmakers in Britain have named Foo Fighters and Kasabian as early favourites to headline the 2014 Glastonbury festival with odds of 6/1. Experts at William Hill have also given odds of 25/1 that defunct rockers Oasis will reform for a slot at the iconic event.

Fact: Kasabian rocker Serge Pizzorno had a weekend to remember recently after he was honoured by officials at Italy's Genoa soccer club. The guitarist, who trained in the sport before finding fame as a musician, was presented with a shirt bearing the number 10 by team bosses on 14 April (13) to celebrate his family ties to the area ahead of their home game against local rivals Sampdoria, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
