Kanye West delivered an inspiring speech to graduates of the Los Angeles Trade Technical College on Friday night, telling students, "When you're the absolute best, you get hated on the most.”

West was the guest of honour at the fashion students' final runway show on Friday and according to TMZ the rapper even went backstage to give the students some extra words of encouragement before sitting front and center for the ceremony.

Kanye then took to the podium to deliver a graduation speech which we’re guessing students wont forget in a hurry. "It's a tough world out there," he told the crowd of students.

”You're going to prepare yourself for politics, bad bosses, hating employees." The rapper then delivered the most Kanye West of all the Kanye West lines, warning students, "Usually when you're the absolute best, you get hated on the most."

Highlighting the difficulties of making it in the fashion world West drew on his own experience adding, "Even for me as a successful musician, in order to make the transition, it was really all but impossible. People always try to box you in to what they know you best for.”

According to Billboard, West had been teaching classes at the college as part of his 250-hour community service sentence which was handed down in March 2014, after an altercation with a photographer at LAX airport.
