Kanye West, the rapper turned designer turned presidential hopeful, appears to have accepted criticism comes with his high-profile role. As such, he isn’t remotely interested in what his haters have to say about his recently premiered Yeezy season 2 collection.
Kanye West “doesn’t care” about the criticism his Yeezy season two fashion line faces. The second season of West’s designs premiered at New York Fashion Week on Wednesday (16th September) and it certainly provoked mixed reactions on social media. According to a source, West isn’t upset by those who only had negative things to say about his designs.

“People hate on Kanye all the time,” a source told Us Weekly. “He doesn’t care in the least. He ignores the haters. He doesn’t pay attention to all the bitter critics.”
Some of fashion’s biggest and most well-respected critics have not held back in expressing their disdain for West’s designs. Amongst them was The Cut’s Cathy Horyn, who described West’s designs as “kind of amusing”. She also criticised West’s new collection for remaining much the same as his first season.
Yet fashion writers and critics aren’t the only ones who have criticised West’s designs. Rapper Ice T also weighed in on the debate. The 57-year-old rapper took to Twitter to critique West’s second season and he certainly wasn’t impressed.
‘Kanye's fashion show stuff looks like future Slave gear to me... Just sayin.’ Ice T wrote on Twitter, accompanied by a line-up of West’s designs worn by models on the runway.
West’s first season premiered in New York in February of this year. It was met with mixed reviews with one of his pieces in particular causing controversy online. The piece in question was a women’s skin-tight, nude-coloured playsuit which left little to the imagination. We’re a little more prepared for his second season so, even though the line does feature some interesting pieces, they’ve definitely lost their shock value.
