Three weeks after he was first asked, Kanye West has finally given a response to the question that Jimmy Kimmel asked him about Donald Trump.

Appearing on the chat show host’s show back in early August, the rapper was asked why he thinks that the current president cares about black people – spinning a statement that West himself made more than a decade ago about former president George W. Bush in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

Speaking to 107.5 WGCI Chicago, 40 year old West was asked the same question, and, after a long 25-second pause, he eventually answered: “I feel that he cares about the way black people feel about him.”

As ‘Carpool Karaoke’ continues to grow in popularity with no signs of slow-down any time soon, the list of megastars who’ve participated contains one person notable by his absence – Kanye West. But his absence is nothing to do with his occasionally controversial views, according to James Corden, instead simply because he keeps cancelling.

‘The Late Late Show’ host was speaking to Kanye’s mother-in-law Kris Jenner on the chat show on Monday this week, during a segment called ‘Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts’, where guests must answer an awkward question or consume a disgusting food or drink item.

“We’ve tried,” Corden explained, saying that Yeezy’s last minute pull-out cost the show $45,000.

Dennis Rodman has said that he’d like to invite Kanye West to North Korea to meet leader Kim Jong-un and to write an album about it.

As of the end of June, 57 year old Rodman has made no fewer than five visits to the repressive country in order to meet its dictatorial head of state. According to Rodman’s agent, he and Kim get along extremely well and “both love sports and music”.

The sportsman is set to make another trip to North Korea this September, and according to a report in Us Weekly, he’s planning to ask outspoken rap star Kanye West to come with him.

We reported yesterday that the ever-prodigious Kanye West was teasing the possibility of releasing an album every week for the next year, incredible as that seems. However, one of those seems to be coming together soon, with Chance the Rapper revealing that he’s planning a collaboration album with Yeezy.

The 25 year old rapper was speaking to Complex this week and mentioning that, alongside his collaboration with Kanye, he was also working with Donald Glover – aka Childish Gambino – on another project.

“I've been actively working on the project with Childish. I’m going to do a seven-track with Ye,” Chance told the interviewer. He and Kanye are slated to begin working together in July.

It’s been a busy month for Kanye West, rolling out his most recent studio album, a collaboration LP and a number of records he’s produced for others in consecutive weeks. Now, however, there are reports that he’s planning to do the same pattern for a year, releasing “52 albums in 52 weeks”.

The 41 year old megastar told Jon Caramanica in a wide-ranging interview last month, soon after the release of ye, and which the journalist related on his ‘Popcast’ podcast this week that he plans to release a huge number of other projects over the coming months.

“He told me at one point he wants to make 52 records in 52 weeks,” Caramanica said. “Take that for what you will.”

The Wyoming ranch where Kanye West held a listening party for his brand new album ye last week has announced that they will ban rappers from the property, after the trouble they say was caused by the event.

Jane Golliher, the owner and proprietor of the Diamond Cross Ranch at the Jackson Hole, Wyoming, told The Blast this week that, although the listening party had offered her business a huge shot of exposure and opportunity and that she was grateful for it, the event was the “most confusing” thing that they had ever hosted.

Reportedly, the 40 year old rapper had told Golliher and her husband that he intended to host the listening party inside but, after then changing his mind “every 30 minutes”, ended up throwing it outside. Furthermore, local county bye-laws dictates that any sound played outside after 10pm must not exceed 80 decibels – but Kanye blasted his album at over 120 decibels.

Kim Kardashian has revealed that she “screamed” and “cried” in reaction to hearing about her husband Kanye West’s much-publicised comments on slavery earlier this year.

The 40 year old rap megastar, who released his brand new album ye at the end of last week, said last month in a controversial interview with TMZ that the centuries-long enslavement of African-Americans was “a choice”.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the CFDA Fashion Awards on Tuesday night (June 5th), 37 year old Kim was asked about the fall-out from that moment, explaining that she was left distressed by her husband’s comments but that they “have different views at times”.

As his comeback gathers pace, Kanye West has reportedly taken the decision to part ways with his manager, Scooter Braun, with pair going their separate ways “on good terms”, according to reports.

TMZ reported on Tuesday (April 24th) that Kanye had amicably broken off his two-year working relationship with Scooter Braun, who also manages Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande. It comes as part of a wider re-arrangement of his management team, with the rapper asking his core team – including attorney Peter Paterno – to bring all services in-house to his Yeezy organisation.

Braun turned the offer down, although this hasn’t precluded the possibility of Kanye and Braun’s companies working together on future projects. “They parted on good terms,” a source told Variety.

After a lengthy period of silence, Kanye West has continued his comeback to the world by announcing the release of TWO new albums – one of them being a collaboration with fellow rapper Kid Cudi.

Yeezy stunned social media on Thursday night (April 19th) by revealing news of two new studio albums he’s completed, and which will be released on back-to-back weeks in June this year. In a series of tweets, he announced that the first record – not yet given a title – will be out on June 1st and will be his eighth solo studio album, with “7 songs”.

The second, under the collaboration title Kids See Ghosts, will be out the following week on June 8th and was made with Kid Cudi.

Kanye West has revealed what’s behind his recent comeback to Twitter after an absence of nearly a year – he’s publishing a philosophy book in “real time” via the social media platform.

The 40 year old rap megastar returned to Twitter last week after an hiatus of around 11 months. Since then, Twitter has of course changed to a 280-character limit, meaning we’re now getting twice the insight and bizarreness as we used to. In the last few days, he’s been publishing a series of motivational homilies to his followers.

“As a creative your ideas are your strongest form of currency,” read one of his tweets. “Try to avoid any contractual situation where you are held back from your ideas,” he wrote in another, in a series appearing to be aimed at creatives.

Kanye West has reportedly parted ways with his long-term manager and confidant Izvor ‘Izzy’ Zivkovic, with the rap megastar now under the sole guidance of Justin Bieber’s manager and mentor Scooter Braun.

News of the decision was reported on Wednesday night (March 28th) by Billboard, who described the Croatian-born Zivkovic as “a relatively unknown figure” who “has largely stayed out of the spotlight”.

He had managed Kanye’s career since 2010, around the time of his career revitalisation with My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Zivkovic’s company, Split Second Management, also looks after the likes of Jack Garratt, Arcade Fire and Banks.

Proving that fashion can be both dangerous and painful, an Adidas employee has been rushed to hospital via helicopter with a severe injury to his leg, apparently sustained during the development of Kanye West's shoe range Yeezy. Details are yet to emerge regarding the man's wounds.

The injured party was a man in his early 20s, according to TMZ, who was apparently lifting a 3D printer outside Kanye West's office - the Calabasas Tech Center - on Friday (March 23rd 2018) when he lost his grip and it dropped onto his foot. The extent of the damage has not been revealed, but it was bad enough that he had to be airlifted to hospital.

Kanye West’s clothing company Yeezy is facing a legal battle after another business filed a lawsuit alleging that the rapper’s fashion line used their camouflage design without their permission.

According to reports by TMZ, Jordan Outdoor Enterprises filed a lawsuit at a federal court in Georgia against Kanye’s label Yeezy Apparel on Thursday (March 15th), arguing that the Yeezy camouflage print is an unauthorised copy of their own Realtree collection and an infringement of their copyright. Yeezy used it as part of their Season 5 collection of hoodies, cargo pants, bomber jackets and boots.

NBA star LeBron James is under the microscope as well, as his Miami-based fashion line Unknwn is also being named in the lawsuit for similar alleged copyright theft for selling the Yeezy items.

Kanye West has settled a lawsuit with the insurance company Lloyd’s of London concerning the sudden cancellation of his Saint Pablo tour over a year ago.

Back in November 2016, amid concerns about the rapper’s state of mind following a number of increasingly bizarre on-stage rants as the North American tour rolled on, the Saint Pablo tour was pulled suddenly, with West hospitalised soon afterwards for extreme exhaustion.

In August 2017, West’s touring company Very Good Touring, Inc. filed a lawsuit for $10 million against Lloyd’s of London, who had underwritten the Saint Pablo tour, claiming that they had failed to pay up for insurance claims regarding the cancellation.
