Kanye West has reached out on social media to none other than Bob Dylan, apparently in the hope of scoring a collaboration with the legendary songwriter.

Having spent most of the last few days feverishly tweeting about trees – inspired by a trip to a botanical garden in Miami in which he at one point said “landscaping is a conversation with God” – the 41 year old rapper suddenly decided on Wednesday evening (December 12th) to ask Dylan whether he’d like to work together on a project.

“Calling out to Bob Dylan - Let’s get together,” he wrote bluntly.

Kanye West has apologised for a “lack of etiquette” after he was caught staring at his phone during the opening night of a Broadway musical about Cher.

The 41 year old rapper attended the premiere of ‘The Cher Show’ in New York City on Tuesday night (December 4th) with his wife Kim Kardashian – a star-studded event in which the legendary pop star Cher herself appeared on stage. However, one of the production’s cast called out West for apparently being engrossed in his phone during the show.

Jarrod Spector, who plays Sonny Bono, acknowledged Kanye’s attendance but upbraided him for his inattentive behaviour.

Lorde has hit out at Kanye West and Kid Cudi, accusing the rappers of stealing her idea of a ‘floating’ Perspex cage for their stage design.

The two rappers, who collaborated earlier in 2018 on an album entitled Kids See Ghosts, performed live together for the first time over the weekend at the Camp Flog Gnaw festival in Los Angeles. It saw them both suspended in a Perspex box above the stage – something very similar to the technology utilised by Lorde during her Melodrama world tour last year.

“I’m proud of the work I do, and it’s flattering when other artists feel inspired by it, to the extent that they choose to try it on themselves,” she wrote in an Instagram story, showing an image of her tour with images of West and Kid Cudi’s performance.

Kanye West has appeared to have had a Damascene revelation, saying that he’s “distancing” himself from politics and admitting that he’s been “used”.

On Twitter on Tuesday night (October 30th), the 41 year old rapper said that he’s been “used to spread messages I don't believe in”.

“My eyes are now wide open,” he said. “I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative.”

Lana Del Rey’s social media feud with Azealia Banks is growing more intense, after the rapper had called out Lana for criticising Kanye West’s support for president Donald Trump.

The often controversial Banks, whose top hit single was ‘212’, had described Del Rey as “vapid”, after the singer had last week left a lengthy comment on Kanye West’s Instagram post. All this comes in the context of the rap megastar’s recurring support for the divisive president Trump. Got all that?

“Don’t use Kanye for your own vapid attempts to seem politically aware when there is SO MUCH MORE bootleg witchcraft you could be doing to TRY and take down 45,” Banks retorted on Instagram.

Yet more details from the world’s most intriguing marriage, with Kim Kardashian revealing that her husband Kanye West once gave her $1 million dollars to NOT take a job.

The reality star and entrepreneur, 37, spilled the beans in an episode of Ashley Graham’s new podcast Pretty Big Deal this week, telling the host that Kanye once cut her a cheque for a million bucks in return for her turning down a lucrative offer from a rival fashion brand to promote it.

“He's like the cutest,” Kim said. “A brand offered me a million dollars to do a post on some of their clothing and they typically - I don't want to say who the brand is - but they typically knock off Yeezy.”

Snoop Dogg has hit out at President Donald Trump and his supporters, including fellow rapper Kanye West, in a radio outburst.

The iconic hip-hop star, who first arrived on the scene over 25 years ago, was speaking to radio DJ Suss One for The Feature Presentation on SiriusXM this week, a clip of which found its way onto YouTube on Tuesday (September 18th). Snoop’s NSFW broadside was triggered when the presenter told him that “a lot of his fans” often get angry if Trump is criticised on the air.

“Well you need to know that a lot of your fans is racist,” the 46 year old rapper retorted frankly. “I don’t give a f***. I tell them straight up. If you like that n***** you mother****** racist.”

After a summer of feuding over social media, Kanye West has extended an olive branch to his rap rival Drake just a couple of days after his wife Kim Kardashian publicly denied that she had slept with the Canadian star.

Posting a picture of one of Drake’s live shows, the 41 year old star wrote: “Sending good energy and love to Drake and family and crew…. I haven’t seen the show in person but the images look incredible online. I understand where the confusion started.”

Three weeks after he was first asked, Kanye West has finally given a response to the question that Jimmy Kimmel asked him about Donald Trump.

Appearing on the chat show host’s show back in early August, the rapper was asked why he thinks that the current president cares about black people – spinning a statement that West himself made more than a decade ago about former president George W. Bush in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

Speaking to 107.5 WGCI Chicago, 40 year old West was asked the same question, and, after a long 25-second pause, he eventually answered: “I feel that he cares about the way black people feel about him.”

As ‘Carpool Karaoke’ continues to grow in popularity with no signs of slow-down any time soon, the list of megastars who’ve participated contains one person notable by his absence – Kanye West. But his absence is nothing to do with his occasionally controversial views, according to James Corden, instead simply because he keeps cancelling.

‘The Late Late Show’ host was speaking to Kanye’s mother-in-law Kris Jenner on the chat show on Monday this week, during a segment called ‘Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts’, where guests must answer an awkward question or consume a disgusting food or drink item.

“We’ve tried,” Corden explained, saying that Yeezy’s last minute pull-out cost the show $45,000.

Dennis Rodman has said that he’d like to invite Kanye West to North Korea to meet leader Kim Jong-un and to write an album about it.

As of the end of June, 57 year old Rodman has made no fewer than five visits to the repressive country in order to meet its dictatorial head of state. According to Rodman’s agent, he and Kim get along extremely well and “both love sports and music”.

The sportsman is set to make another trip to North Korea this September, and according to a report in Us Weekly, he’s planning to ask outspoken rap star Kanye West to come with him.

We reported yesterday that the ever-prodigious Kanye West was teasing the possibility of releasing an album every week for the next year, incredible as that seems. However, one of those seems to be coming together soon, with Chance the Rapper revealing that he’s planning a collaboration album with Yeezy.

The 25 year old rapper was speaking to Complex this week and mentioning that, alongside his collaboration with Kanye, he was also working with Donald Glover – aka Childish Gambino – on another project.

“I've been actively working on the project with Childish. I’m going to do a seven-track with Ye,” Chance told the interviewer. He and Kanye are slated to begin working together in July.

It’s been a busy month for Kanye West, rolling out his most recent studio album, a collaboration LP and a number of records he’s produced for others in consecutive weeks. Now, however, there are reports that he’s planning to do the same pattern for a year, releasing “52 albums in 52 weeks”.

The 41 year old megastar told Jon Caramanica in a wide-ranging interview last month, soon after the release of ye, and which the journalist related on his ‘Popcast’ podcast this week that he plans to release a huge number of other projects over the coming months.

“He told me at one point he wants to make 52 records in 52 weeks,” Caramanica said. “Take that for what you will.”

The Wyoming ranch where Kanye West held a listening party for his brand new album ye last week has announced that they will ban rappers from the property, after the trouble they say was caused by the event.

Jane Golliher, the owner and proprietor of the Diamond Cross Ranch at the Jackson Hole, Wyoming, told The Blast this week that, although the listening party had offered her business a huge shot of exposure and opportunity and that she was grateful for it, the event was the “most confusing” thing that they had ever hosted.

Reportedly, the 40 year old rapper had told Golliher and her husband that he intended to host the listening party inside but, after then changing his mind “every 30 minutes”, ended up throwing it outside. Furthermore, local county bye-laws dictates that any sound played outside after 10pm must not exceed 80 decibels – but Kanye blasted his album at over 120 decibels.

Kim Kardashian has revealed that she “screamed” and “cried” in reaction to hearing about her husband Kanye West’s much-publicised comments on slavery earlier this year.
