Justin Bieber's legion of Beliebers just can't keep their hands to themselves.

The 19 year-old pop star's wax figure has had to be removed from display at Madame Tussaud's New York museum.

Could the reason be behind the 'Baby' singer's recent run-ins with the law?

No, the wax figure was removed due to being severely damaged by eager Bieber fans who excessively groped and fondled the statue, the New York Post reports.

Fans are able to man-handle the lifelike model of Justin due to their being no barriers or rails around it, and when his female fans visit the wax figure, they cannot contain themselves.

A source within the museum said, "With no ropes or barriers to stop them, thousands of fans have had their photographs taken with him since then - but it has taken its toll."

Madame Tussauds New York also states the model has been damaged that severely, "it no longer does justice either to the star or to the attraction," thus forcing the event organizers to remove it.

Madame Tussauds general manager, Bret Pidgeon, told the NY Post, "This is disappointing, but hopefully we can welcome a new 'grown-up' Justin back to the attraction in the near future."

Will a "grown-up" Justin Bieber be wearing prison overalls?

The 'Believe' hit maker found out last week the date for his trial in the Miami DUI charge stemming from last month.

Bieber will be entering a Miami courtroom in March to determine his fate after being arrested and charged with driving under the influence on January 23rd. He will also be answering for resisting arrest without violence and driving without a valid license.
