Latin pop stars Juanes and Juan Luis Guerra are handing over the proceeds from their New York City concert on Saturday (24Nov12) to help support the victims of superstorm Sandy.

The Colombian singer and his pal Luis Guerra performed at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, one of the areas hit hardest by the post-tropical cyclone which left millions without power when it made landfall last month (Oct12).

Residents are still picking up the pieces from the storm, and as a way to give back to their fans, the pair is donating all money earned from ticket and merchandise sales to relief agency the American Red Cross.

A statement from the duo reads, "With so many people from these regions now facing immense hardships, we want to show our deep appreciation by utilising our music to both raise spirits and more importantly, raise much-needed funds to help them through these times of great need."
