In the early 1970's, drama student and former Miss Wyoming Joyce McKinney met 19 year-old Kirk Anderson at Brigham Young University, Utah. They embarked on a relationship but some time later, Kirk fled Utah and in her words, 'vanished', after finding out that Joyce had miscarried. But she didn't give up so easily; she hired private investigators to look for him, where they eventually found him living in England.
In 1977, she flew to Surrey UK -where Kirk was now working as a door-to-door Mormon missionary- with her friend, Keith May, with the intention to marry her former lover. Joyce took Kirk to a cottage 200 miles away in Wales and kept him prisoner for three days, chaining him to a bed and attempting to persuade Kirk to marry her. He escaped after agreeing but went straight to the police. Meanwhile, Joyce and Keith avoided bail by disguising themselves as mimes but were caught by police three days later.
Joyce's sensational tabloid adventures reached a conclusion some thirty years later in 2008, which involved a cloning laboratory in Seoul, South Korea.
