Former Red Hot Chili Peppers Guitarist John Frusciante Has Filed Legal Documents In An Effort To Stop Funding His Ex-wife's Music Career.
Editors of TMZ.com report that John, who is in the middle of a divorce from his estranged wife Nicole, is done footing the bill as she pursues her dream of becoming a musician.
The guitarist says his wife's request for $75,000 (£47,000) a month in spousal support is "crazy" and claims $21,000 (£13,000) is just to rent a music studio.
In new legal documents filed in their divorce case, he states, "I don't know if you can call her recording efforts a hobby or a past-time... but it seems improper to characterise Nicole as a professional musician."
His wife also claims she needs more than $2,600 (£1,625) for gifts and expenses for her brother, a claim that John says is "ridiculous".
The pair married in 2011, and split in May this year (15).
