Foster and her girlfriend slipped under the media radar with their wedding this past weekend.
Congratulations to Jodie Foster and Alexandra Hedison, who just tied the knot this week! The actress’ publicist confirmed the news to TMZ. According to the entertainment website, Foster and Hedison had the ceremony last weekend, having dated for a year. This is essentially all the information released about the pair’s wedding, since they apparently kept the proceedings low-key and private. The location or even exact day of the wedding has not been disclosed.
Foster and her now-wife have reportedly been dating for about a year.
According to The Telegraph, Ms Hedison, 44, has been linked previously to comedienne Ellen Degeneres. Foster and Hedison had been seen in each other’s company in Los Angeles on a number of occasions, fuelling speculation about their relationship.
51-year-old Foster never had the typical “celebrity coming out speech”, but she did acknowledge her sexuality at last year’s Golden Globes. The actress who had two children by IVF had separated from her previous partner, film producer Cydney Bernard. This is only Foster’s second relationship to go public, as the actress prefers to keep her private life away from the media. She addressed this in her Golden Globes speech, saying: “… I already did my coming out about a thousand years ago back in the stone age, those very quaint days when a fragile young girl would open up to trusted friends and family and co-workers and then gradually, proudly, to everyone who knew her, to everyone she actually met. But now apparently, I’m told that every celebrity is expected to honor the details of their private life with a press conference, a fragrance,, and a prime-time reality show. And you guys might be surprised, but I am not Honey Boo Boo Child.”
