So desperate are Jj Abrams and Disney to meet their 2015 deadline for Star Wars Episode 7, they’re thinking about just filming some stuff without a script.

I know, it sounds like something a college film student kid would do, except these guys are responsible for one of the biggest franchises of all time.

Kathleen Kennedy, who is exec producing on the film, has been pushing for a delay, but the powers that be won’t budge, and insist that a summer 2015 release date is paramount. It can’t be missed, even if it means the film is rubbish - they haven’t said that, but they really don’t need to.

JJ Abrams reportedly concurs with Kennedy vis-à-vis the script, but is under just as much pressure – if not more – to ensure the film both exceeds expectations and comes out on time. He recently replaced Toy Story 3 scribe Michael Arndt as the writer, a move that was shrugged off by an insider source as ‘not strange at all'.

"It's nothing out of the ordinary," says the insider. "Almost every big movie changes writers at some point. There's no drama here." (Hollywood Reporter)

Talks of Harrison Ford – who played Han Solo in the classic films – returning seem to be premature, but fans of the franchise are hoping he’ll reprise his role. “[I have] not quite made the choice yet,” he told IGN.

He was, however, way more forthcoming about a possible return to the Indiana Jones series. “I would do it in a New York minute,” he said. “Yes. I don’t think there is any barrier to Indiana Jones being an old fart. I’m old enough that we don’t need [Sean] Connery any more. I’m old enough to play my own father!”
