Could Jimmy Fallon possibly get any cooler? Following the comedy highlights from his 'The Tonight Show' special for the Super Bowl XLIX, the comedian has reunited cast members from beloved 90s show 'Saved By The Bell' in his latest skit.

Jimmy Fallon & the Saved By The Bell cast
Jimmy Fallon goes back to high school

Fallon gets a decent amount of appreciation for his crazy outfit combination and startlingly long hair as he reminisces about his high school days, and goes into a scene set-up of Bayside High. However, a particularly prolonged applause went to Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zack Morris) as he made an appearance complete with wavy blonde hair and looking almost indistinguishable from his younger self some 25 years ago, proceeding to reel off the lyrics from the famous theme tune.

Mario Lopez (A.C. Slater) then saunters in, though with less of a surprise for the audience as we've seen rather a lot of him since his 'Saved By The Bell' days with him having hosted the likes of 'The X Factor USA' and 'Extra'. The arrival of Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie Spano) drew further applause as Slater announced his date for the 'dance', and he proceeds to strip off his usual jeans/shirt attire for a full bodysuit to perform a short but impressive ballet style routine.

90s Jimmy Fallon admits he's not going to the dance, instead confessing his plans to move to New York to pursue a career in comedy - and maybe get a date with Nicole Kidman. The joke was in reference to a popular story Fallon has previously told, about him apparently having accidentally snubbed the chance for a date with the actress when they were both single. Amid hoots of laughter, Zack responds, 'Jimmy going on a date with Nicole Kidman? It's like Jessie becoming a stripper!' Another play on irony because, as it happens, Elizabeth Berkley popularly starred in the racy drama 'Showgirls' following her stint on 'Saved By The Bell'.

The only major transformation was Principal Richard Belding, as Dennis Haskins has definitely padded out since his teaching days, while Tiffani Thiessen (who's still just as stunning as she was in her Kelly Kapowski days) makes her arrival with some happy news; she's pregnant, and Zack's thrilled! Thiessen announced that she was actually expecting a second child back in January (though not with Gosselaar, of course, but her husband Brady Smith).

Noticeably missing from the ensemble were Dustin Diamond (Screech Powers), who was recently arrested over an incident of serious assault in a bar, and Lark Voorhies (Lisa Turtle) who's rarely seen in public these days over media fears for her mental health.

Nonetheless, it was convincing and heartfelt reunion of a cast so memorable, and from one of the world's favourite teen shows.
