Jimmy Fallon is just human after all. The comedian just can't seem to keep himself uninjured for more than a few weeks at a time right now. His latest injury sees him glass his own hand while over in Boston to collect an award.

Jimmy Fallon'Danger' is Jimmy Fallon's middle name

The talk-show host was the picture of college life as he picked up his Elmer Award from the Harvard Lampoon. Clutching a bottle of Jägermeister and showing his appreciation for the cheering fans, he stumbled forward (whether or not drunkenly remains to be seen) sending both himself and the green bottle flying to the floor with an audible smash (we've all been there). After righting himself, he realised that his hands were covered in blood. A brief video clip of the event circulated the net, and so Fallon took to Instagram to assure fans that it wasn't as serious as it looked - or, indeed, could have been.

'Nothing that a few band aids couldn't fix', he explained, posting a picture of his hand with at least two band aids strapped across two of his fingers. His followers face-palmed in unison after realising that this was the third grisly injury the comedian has suffered in the last year.

In mid-July, he Tweeted that he'd almost removed a finger from his other hand after skidding and catching it on his furniture, and spent several subsequent weeks with a heavy dressing around his hand. 'I slipped on a braided rug, caught my ring on a table and almost lost my finger. #MyDumbInjury', he said.

If that wasn't bad enough, scarcely had he healed from that disaster than he was forced to undergo emergency dental surgery after cracking a tooth. 'Chipped front tooth trying to open tube of scar tissue repair gel for recovering finger injury', he revealed on Instagram.

Stay safe, Jimmy! Let's try to enter 2016 in one piece.
