The chat show host and his guest Jason Segel play an intriguing game of Word Sneak
Jimmy Fallon has a way of making his talk show guests do things that other interviewers may not be able to do. And it’s always excellent viewing for an audience.
The chat show host is a master of funny interviews
This time it was the turn of actor Jason Segel to get down with the silliness on Fallon’s The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon who indulged the chat show host in a game of Word Sneak.

The beloved presenter is on the mend from a serious hand injury last month, but it didn't stop him playing harmonica on 'Desire' with the Irish rock legends.
Having been photographed without his cast on Wednesday, ‘The Tonight Show’ host was invited onstage for a surprise appearance at the rock supergroup’s New York gig that night (July 22nd). He joined in with the rendition of ‘Desire’ on harmonica and cracked a few jokes at his and the group’s expense.

Daniel Radcliffe was filmed performing Eminem’s ‘The Real Slim Shady’ at a karaoke bar in California – take a look!
Daniel Radcliffe was recently filmed at a karaoke bar and his performance is actually pretty incredible. Whilst most people may turn to Dolly Parton or any 80s power ballad they can find, the Harry Potter actor went in an entirely different direction: rap.

Jimmy Finger returned to ‘The Tonight Show’ on Monday (13th July) and revealed the extent to which his hand had been injured after an accident at home.
Jimmy Fallon nearly lost his finger in an accident in his own home. The 40-year-old talk show host returned to host The Tonight Show on Monday (13th July), after taking a few weeks off to recover from his injury. His left hand was in a cast and he revealed how serious his injury was. Be prepared to cringe, it’s not a pretty story!
Jimmy Fallon nearly lost his finger after tripping up at home.
The late night talk show host needed minor surgery on his hand following a fall on Friday morning.
Jimmy Fallon has assured fans he’s doing well after he was admitted to a New York hospital on Friday to receive minor surgery on one of his hands. Although the comedian’s injury wasn’t too serious, it did cause NBC to cancel Friday’s taping of 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' and air a repeat episode instead.
Jimmy Fallon is recovering after injuring his hand on Friday.
Sharing a picture of his bandaged hand the talk show host tweeted, "Tweeting with one hand. Tripped and caught my fall (good thing)! Ring caught on side of table almost ripped my finger off (bad thing).” The 40 year old also added that he was feeling, “#drugged” and “#blessed” as he recovered, telling fans, “Thanks for good wishes everyone." LOL!”

Lena Dunham, rocking out with the best of them.
Lena Dunham, everybody. The Girls creator guested on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon Friday night and it served as the perfect occasion to bring back... wait for it... LIP SYNC BATTLE. Oh yeah! The two battled against each other over eight minutes, with Fallon trying his lips at Charlene’s “I’ve Never Been to Me” and RUN-DMC’s “Run’s House” and Dunham taking on Calvin Harris’ “Outside” (feat. Ellie Goulding) and Queen’s “Fat Bottomed Girls.”
Who knew Lena Dunham had so much diva in her?
Recently, Fallon has branched out and created a full show, based on his most successful skit. The show, aptly named Lip Sync Battle is hosted by LL Cool J and airs on Spike TV. But Dunham wanted to go back to the source to find a platform for her – rather impressive – lip syncing talents.
After 33 years of late night talk show hosting, David Letterman is set to present his final episode of 'The Late Show' on Wednesday night.
With the last ever ‘The Late Show’ presented by David Letterman looming ever nearer, rival talk show host Jimmy Fallon took the time to pay tribute to the man who is set to retire tomorrow night (May 20th).
Letterman’s combined 33 year stint presenting ‘The Late Show with David Letterman’ on CBS, and his former NBC show ‘Late Night with David Letterman’, makes him the longest serving late-night talk show host in television history.

The band filmed the surprise acoustic set ahead of their Jimmy Fallon appearance later this week.
U2 caused a bit of a stir in New York this week by performing a secret gig in a subway station.
The Irish rock legends, much more accustomed to playing cavernous stadiums and arenas, dressed up as street musicians and made an impromptu busking performance at Grand Central station on Monday night. The set was filmed ahead of the group’s appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s ‘Tonight Show’ this Friday (May 8th).

And yet another lip sync battle went out of control.
Can we all agree that The Tonight Show is the funniest of the late night circuit? Everyone else can stop trying now, thank you. Last night (Thursday, April 16) saw the return of John Krasinski to Fallon’s studio and the actor paid (hilarious) tribute to N’Sync and Jimmy’s old pal Justin Timberlake.
Krasinski was good, but he was no match for Kendrick's cunning.
It was the lip sync battle of a century, with Krasinski absolutely killing it rocking out to the band’s 2000 hit Bye Bye Bye, as I’m sure we’ve all done at one point or another, probably after a couple tequilas.
This is the best use of classroom instruments ever.
Remember those totally unusable instruments you were given for music class in elementary school? Well, it turns out, they're not so unusable after all - Jimmy Fallon enlists Madonna and The Roots and his collection of children's music things in an epic new video.
Madonna performs 'Holiday' with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots
You never see real musicians using the likes of maracas, cowbells, glockenspiels or tambourines in their compositions (not often, anyway) so why do teachers expect children to learn the art of music making this way? Well, legendary neo-soul collective The Roots and Queen of Pop Madonna have proved on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' that with proper execution these instruments aren't so lame after all.
Dwayne Johnson miming and dancing to Taylor Swift? Yep this actually happened.
The Rock aka Dwayne Johnson, stole the show in the first episode of Spike’s ‘Lip Sync Battle’ which pits a pair of celebs against each other every week in the ultimate miming contest. The former WWE champ teamed up with rapper Common to take on Jimmy Fallon and John Legend on Thursday evening, demonstrating his miming skills to Taylor Swift’s ‘Shake It Off’.
The Rock is now a champion of the 'Lip Sync Battle'
Johnson performed Swfity’s modern pop classic, as well as donning the infamous John Travolta white suit for a rendition of the Bee Gee’s ‘Stayin’ Alive’. The 42 year old’s partner Common also performed Lionel Richie’s 'All Night Long' and 'I Want You Back' by The Jackson 5, helping to secure victory for the pair.
Be prepared to feel amused and totally creeped out all at the same time.
On Thursday night’s edition of ‘The Tonight Show’, host Jimmy Fallon unveiled what has got to be the creepiest of all the creepy duets. In the pre taped skit, Jimmy and five (yes five!) identical Jimmy Fallon waxworks give a hilarious, if yet totally disturbing rendition of the Beach Boy’s 1965 classic ‘Barbara Ann’.
That's a lot of Jimmy Fallons
The skit begins with Jimmy answering a call from his mom as The Beach Boy’s classic plays as his ringtone. "Hey Mom!" the host says. "They just dropped off my wax figures from Madame Tussauds. It's amazing. The details, everything, it looks just like me.”

The comedian refused to break character during his late night talk show appearance.
You'd be forgiven for being a little confused by Will Ferrell’s appearance on last night’s edition of ‘The Tonight Show’, after all host Jimmy Fallon also seemed pretty perplexed by the comedian’s choice of costume. Ferrell appeared on Fallon's sofa dressed as Little Debbie's snack cakes mascot, Little Debbie and refused to break character during his interview, which was meant to be promoting new movie Get Hard.
Will Ferrell looked slightly different on last night's edition of 'The Tonight Show'
Wearing a blue check dress, a white apron, black patent shoes, white ruffle socks and with a curly brown wig under his straw hat, Ferrell gave no real explanation for his choice of attire, as host Fallon looked on baffled.
‘The Voice’ judge channelled her fellow ex-Mouseketeer when she stopped by ‘The Tonight Show’ sofa on Monday.
Christina Aguilera might be about to make her return as a judge on NBC singing competition ‘The Voice’, but the pop diva proved she has more than a few ‘voices’ in her repertoire, when she appeared on Monday's edition of ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon'. The host challenged Xtina to a game of ‘Wheel of Musical Impressions’ while on his sofa, but Fallon probably wasn’t expecting his guest to be such an expert mimic.
Christina Aguilera could have fooled us with her Britney impression.
Aguilera was first challenged to sing the "Folgers Coffee" jingle in the style of her Burlesque co-star Cher, which she managed perfectly. Then Fallon’s turn came, where he delivered a pretty impressive impression of David Bowie, if he were to sing ‘You're a Grand Old Flag’.
The pair pulled their best dance moves on 'NYC Fan Dance Cam' sketch.
Taylor Swift 'reminisces' with Jimmy Fallon on 'The Tonight Show' about their Jumbotron dancing moments in a hilarious sketch as part of his one year anniversary in hosting the show. Prepare to be amazed; there's some serious choreography going on right there.

The 'Shake It Off' sensation is genuinely becoming everyone's favourite party guest these days. Following her rocking rendition of her aforementioned hit single with Sir Paul McCartney and Jimmy Fallon during 'Saturday Night Live' 40th anniversary celebrations, she joins the latter on 'The Tonight Show' in a spot of exuberant dancing.
Zack, Slater, Jessie, Kelly and Principal Richard Belding return as Jimmy Fallon reminisces.
Could Jimmy Fallon possibly get any cooler? Following the comedy highlights from his 'The Tonight Show' special for the Super Bowl XLIX, the comedian has reunited cast members from beloved 90s show 'Saved By The Bell' in his latest skit.
Jimmy Fallon goes back to high school
Fallon gets a decent amount of appreciation for his crazy outfit combination and startlingly long hair as he reminisces about his high school days, and goes into a scene set-up of Bayside High. However, a particularly prolonged applause went to Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zack Morris) as he made an appearance complete with wavy blonde hair and looking almost indistinguishable from his younger self some 25 years ago, proceeding to reel off the lyrics from the famous theme tune.
Imagine your pre game pics being invaded by Star-Lord AND Captain America.
Chris Pratt and Chris Evans may have been rivals in the weeks leading up to the Superbowl, but the two Marvel stars have proved their best when working together, after taking part in ‘The Tonight Show’s’ ‘Celebrity Photobomb’ segment.
Chris Pratt has been helping Jimmy Fallon and Chris Evans with some epic photobombs
Seahawks fan Pratt and Patriots supporter Evans had been building up a friendly rivalry over social media after their teams made it to the Superbowl final. The two eventually made a bet that if the Seahawks lost Pratt had to show up at Evans' non-profit housing venture Christopher's Haven, dressed as Star-Lord. Then if the Patriots lost, Evans would have to pay a visit to a Seattle children's hospital dressed as Captain America.
Turns out Nicole Kidman once had a thing for Jimmy Fallon problem is, the funnyman didn't even realise.
First dates are usually pretty awkward, but one way to make them a little worse is to not even tell one of the participants that they're meant to be one a date! That’s kind of what happened when Nicole Kidman went round to Jimmy Fallon’s place over a decade ago, thinking she was on a date with the comedian. Instead it all meant for a hilariously awkward encounter that the actress would later recall while appearing on the ‘Tonight Show’.
Jimmy Fallon appeared to be just not that into Nicole Kidman during their date.
Kidman was sitting on Fallon’s TV sofa to promote her latest movie Paddington, when the topic of conversation turned to the pair’s first and only prior meeting. Kidman encouraged the talk show host to tell his version of the encounter first, where he thought the actress was coming over to discuss a potential movie role.
One Direction and Jerry Seinfeld turned up on NBC's 'The Tonight Show' earlier this week to make for a memorable episode.
Comedian and TV presenter Jimmy Fallon has had a couple of very special guests on ‘The Tonight Show’ in the run-up to Christmas. On Monday he sang an adorable festive song with One Direction before hosting the boyband on his show the following evening.
One Direction sang 'Santa Claus Is Coming to Town' with Jimmy Fallon on 'The Tonight Show'
In the episode shown on the night before Christmas Eve (Tuesday 23 December), the British hitmakers were guests on the show and Fallon broadcast the clip they had previously recorded, a cover version of ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town’ performed on classroom instruments and be-decked in some pretty nerdy-looking Christmas jumpers. Enough to induce festive feelings into even the hardest of hearts!

After just 16 months since the birth of their first child, Jimmy Fallon confirms more good news.
Congratulations to Jimmy Fallon and, of course, his wife Nancy Juvonen as they proudly announce the arrival of their second baby (another daughter!) Frances Cole Fallon. With the child being carried via gestational surrogate, the couple previously kept the impending news secret.
Jimmy Fallon and Nancy Juvonen are parents again
Life is full of nice surprises and 'The Tonight Show' host has certainly shown his spontaneity as he's only now revealed that his second child has been born. The media hadn't had so much of a sniff of baby news since Fallon and Juvonen welcomed Winnie Rose Fallon into the world in July 2013, but it seems they are dead set on developing a large family of their own. Frances Cole made her arrival on Wednesday morning according to a representative of the family.

Bono's packed schedule will have to wait due to his recent injury.
U2 frontman Bono has reportedly injured his arm riding his bicycle around Central Park in New York and is set to undergo surgery for the problem. So says U2’s official website. In a message to their fans, the band (or their PR person, anyway) wrote: "We're sure he'll make a full recovery soon, so we'll be back!"
Bono will have be off playing for a while.
This puts a spoke in the wheel of their upcoming week-long residency on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The gigs have been postponed indefinitely.

The ionic Irish band will perform tracks form their new album 'Songs of Innocence' for five straight nights on the NBC talk show.
In the midst of Metallica being booked to perform for five straight nights on the last week of 'The Late Late Show With Craig Fuerguson,' it seems another late night talk show has caught the music bug as Jimmy Fallon's 'Tonight Show' has acquired U2 to perform with his house band, The Roots, for a full week.
U2 will begin their weeklong residency on the chat show on Monday 17th November
On Monday night's (Nov 3rd) episode of the 'Tonight Show,' Fallon told viewers that "U2 are coming back Monday, November 17, for an entire week." It is worth noting that the Irish rock band and Metallica will be performing on the exact same days for the entire week, luckily Fallon and Ferguson are aired on different time slots.

Paul Reubens has confirmed he will star in a new Pee-Wee Herman, though a director won't be announced till next week.
Paul Reubens confirmed that the Pee-wee Herman movie that's apparently been in some sort of development for about 4 years, may finally be going ahead. Reubens is said to be collaborating with Judd Apatow on the project though he told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show that a serious announcement was around a week away.
Paul Reubens says he's reprising his role as Pee Wee Herman in a Judd Apatow-produced movie
"There is going to be one," Reubens said. "And I was hoping I could make this huge announcement tonight, but it's a week away, I think, from being announced."

Just when you thought it wasn't possible to love Daniel Radcliffe anymore…
Ever since we first saw him as Harry Potter 13 years ago, we’ve known Daniel Radcliffe was one pretty talented guy. But it turns out that Radcliffe’s talents actually stretch even further than we first thought. Appearing on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on Tuesday (October 28th), the 25 year old showed off an unexpected hidden talent, yes it turns out Radcliffe can rap too!
Daniel Radcliffe can rap, who knew
Radcliffe was appearing on Fallon’s sofa to promote his new movie ‘Horns’, in which he plays Ig, an outcast who one day wakes up to find a pair of horns growing from his forehead, giving him special powers.
Former 'Tonight Show' host Jay Leno won the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor on Sunday (October 19th 2014).
Chat show host and comedian Jay Leno lands the prestigious Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, which comes months after his final retirement from NBC's 'The Tonight Show' earlier this year.
Leno lands top US comedy prize
The accolade is the top comedy award offered in the United States, and it was well-deserved by Leno who has presented TV viewers with endless laughter throughout his 37 year television career. On his receipt of the honour at the Kennedy Center in Washington on Sunday (October 19th 2014), he was praised and made fun of by his comedy peers including Jerry Seinfeld, Wanda Sykes, Garth Brooks, Chelsea Handler and his 'Tonight Show' successor Jimmy Fallon.
She sang a number of songs from her new album with the help of the show's presenter Jimmy Fallon.
Ahead of the release of her 34th studio album Partners, singing legend Barbra Streisand was Jimmy Fallon’s guest on Monday evening’s ‘The Tonight Show’. The entire programme was given over to Streisand as Fallon got the opportunity to duet with her on a number of tracks that appear on the new record.
Barbra Streisand made an ultra-rare chat show appearance to promote Partners, a new album of duets, out Sept 16
Fallon quickly dispensed with his customary monologue at the start of the show, acknowledging that they were a “hot crowd” and finishing off by saying “I know you’re not here for me, you’re here for Barbra”. He then accompanied Streisand on a medley of three tracks from the new album, dressing up as Elvis for ‘Love Me Tender’, ‘The Voice’ judge Blake Shelton for ‘I’d Want It To Be You’ and Michael Bublé for ‘It Had To Be You’.

'The Tonight Show' host fulfilled a long-held dream by playing against James Bond at the N64 game.
When James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan made an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show’ with Jimmy Fallon, he got a little more than he perhaps bargained for when the host challenged him to a game of GoldenEye. And, like the good sport that he is, he accepted.
Pierce Brosnan was challenged to a game of GoldenEye by Jimmy Fallon on air on Tuesday night
Those of you in your late 20s and early 30s will pretty much have grown up playing the Nintendo 64 game, famous for its fantastic multi-player mode as well as its free roaming gameplay and atmospheric solo missions. Released in 1997 by the now-rebranded Rare company, GoldenEye was considered a huge step forward in the development of the first-person shoot ‘em up genre of video games, and influenced the look and playability of games like Halo and Call of Duty.

The 39 year-old actor may have overtaken Jay Leno as the host of the 'Tonight Show,' but being a father "is the most exciting, amazing thing that ever happened" to him.
Jimmy Fallon is certainly on top of his game in this last year.
To kick off 2014, the 39 year-old comedian was bestowed with the task of succeeding Jay Leno as the host of the 'Tonight Show,' and so far he is doing an incredible job.
But arguably the biggest moment in the past year occurred in Fallon's personal life, last summer he became a father for the first time.

Jimmy Fallon challenged Tom Cruise to an unusual game, one which no one has ever seen before, entitled 'Face-Breakers' whilst the actor was appearing on the Tonight Show on Thursday (5th June).
"So we'll be throwing footballs at that wall of glass with our faces on it," are words any average person would never think they would say. But not if you're Jimmy Fallon who challenged Tom Cruise, during his Thursday (5th June) night show, to a game of "Face-Breakers".
Tom Cruise played 'Face-Breakers' with Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show.
A large glass panel was erected in Fallon's Tonight Show studio with separate panels designated for either Cruise or Fallon. The aim of the game was to take turns throwing an American football at the opposing player's face. However, if the air horn sounded it signified a speed round and it was considered, for the duration, a free-for-all. The first person to smash all the glass pieces with his opponent's face on them would be considered the winner.
Meyers will serve up the laughs as this year's Emmy host.
Seth Meyers has been announced as the host of the 2015 Emmy awards this August. This caps off a great year for Meyers, who recently went from head writer for SNL and host of the show’s recurring Weekend Update segment to hosting his own late night show. Meyers took over NBC’s Late Night from Jimmy Fallon, after Fallon moved on to Tonight in the place of Jay Leno. It was a bit like a game of musical chairs over at NBC, but the white male hosts all managed to come out on top.
Seth Meyers is having a very successful year.
The Television academy confirmed Meyers’ appointment on Thursday, in keeping with the tradition of picking the host from the pool at the network, broadcasting the Emmys – in this case, NBC. The network will air the event, arguably the biggest night in television, on Monday, August 25. This schedule means that the Emmys take place in the last week before the new fall television season begins each year. The Emmy ceremony is typically broadcast on a Sunday, but this year, being broadcast on NBC, the Emmys would interfere with the NFL's “Sunday Night Football,” and so the Emmys are being moved to the next available date.

It's the second time this month that Fallon has parodied Snoop's hit rap track.
Brian Williams has become the latest celebrity to be featured in a comedy sequence on Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show. The 54 year-old NBC anchor unwittingly starred in the comedian and TV host's mash-up montage of Snoop Dogg's classic rap track, 'Gin and Juice.'
Brian Williams Appears In Another Jimmy Fallon Rap Mash-Up Video.
The Nightly News managing editor was seen "rapping" along to the profane hip hop lyrics in that his many news segments had been spliced, mixed and compiled into a montage to make it look like he was performing a very staid and serious version of the west coast rapper's instantly recognisable ode to mixed alcoholic beverages.

Kevin Bacon may have appeared in 'Footloose' 30 years ago but he still knows all the moves and showed them off whilst appearing on 'The Tonight Show' on Friday (21st March).
It's been 30 years since 25-year-old Kevin Bacon sporting a white vest and high waisted jeans danced his way across screens throughout the US. Yet Bacon still knows the moves and showed Jimmy Fallon that dancing is never banned whilst appearing on The Tonight Show on Friday (21st March).
Kevin Bacon appeared on The Tonight Show on Friday and relived his Footloose days.
Bacon had previously referenced the occasion on 17th February, 30 years to the day since the release of Footloose by uploading a snap of the film on Instagram. The image is of his character Ren McCormack's iconic high school dance in which he and his classmates finally break free of the no dancing rule.

The pair serenaded each other on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.'
Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler guested on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon last night where they delighted the live audience by performing a ditty together. As the new host enters his second week steering the entertainment show, he welcomed the actors, who were promoting their new rom-com Blended, on to his comfy armchairs.
Adam Sandler Appeared With Drew Barrymore On 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.'
As Blended will be Drew and Adam's third movie together in which they play lovers, the pair were invited by Jimmy to discuss their onscreen romances through the medium of song. The heavily-pregnant Barrymore and the scruffy-clothed Sandler looked a real pair as they joined the guitar-toting Fallon on stage.
It was the best way to end Fallon's first week on Tonight.
It had to happen. We all knew Fallon and Timberlake’s “History of Rap” had to be a thing on the Tonight Show and now it is! The duo have performed the sketch four times on Late Night and it’s become one of the most beloved segment on the show. So when Fallon went his entire first week on Tonight without doing another round, viewers were getting nervous.
They're back together! History of Rap is still a thing!
That is until the very end of Fallon’s first week on Tonight. Anticipation was in the air as soon as the new Tonight host introduced Timberlake as his guest. One thing was obvious: JF and JT are running out of introductions. At one point in their chat, the two just went silent, gave the audience and the cameras a couple of meaningful looks and launched into… there really is no way to describe what happened afterwards, if you haven’t seen Fallon and Timberlake at it before. Instead, here’s the video.

Timberlake's apology was emphatic
Justin Timberlake was moved to issue an emphatic apology to Buffalo as a whole following the delay of his show, which was previously scheduled for Saturday next week.
Justin Timberlake was full of contrition for Buffalo
The delay came about due to "health reasons" forcing Timberlake to rescheduled Wednesday's show at Madison Square Garden for Friday night, meaning a trip to Buffalo, including stripping down and rebuilding the set there, wasn’t viable.

So The Tonight Show has Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy Kimmel can trump that with the new "Guardians of the Galaxy" trailer.
With a new competitor in The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel is pulling out all the stops. Last week it was the Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover and on Tuesday, the host unveiled the first full trailer for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy on Jimmy Kimmel Live! A newly buffed up Chris Pratt, fresh off his Lego Movie success, was on hand to introduce the trailer for GotG, in which he also stars. Guardians of the Galaxy is Marvel’s latest venture, which is going to lead into Avengers: Age of Ultron.
As Fallon's rival late night host, Kimmel has had to pull out all the stops lately.
Guardians of the Galaxy follows the adventures of Peter Quill (Pratt), a not entirely law-abiding traveler, who finds himself on the wrong end of a galactic bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To save his skin, Peter is forced into a shaky truce with a quartet of misfits. His survival plan quickly turns into a defense mission, when Peter discovers the power of the orb and the threat it poses to the universe, if it falls into the wrong hands.
The Tonight Show's new host did a hilarious 'Hip Hop Dance Evolution' during his debut.
Jimmy Fallon has exploded into his new hosting role on The Tonight Show, replacing the former host of two decades, Jay Leno. If Fallon was feeling nervous, he wasn't showing any signs as he leapt headfirst into his new job, performing a skit alongside Will Smith called "The Evolution of Hip Hop Dancing."
Jimmy Fallon Has Thrown Himself Into 'The Tonight Show' With Gusto.
Fallon appeared onstage wearing a decidedly nineties shirt, denim dungarees and swinging silver chain and heavy timberland-style boots. A funky beat began playing and Will Smith strutted out in practically identical garb. The pair high-fived and kicked off with their first move, the cabbage patch, to excited hollering from the crowd.
If you were watching anything else last night... why?
Ladies and gentlemen, meet your new Tonight Show host, Jimmy Fallon. Fallon’s first ever Tonight broadcast, live from New York, finally happened, capping off months of promotion. Now it’s time for a rundown.
Fallon’s opening monologue was full of nostalgic reminiscence, peppered with the occasional self-deprecating joke here and there. "This is the first Tonight Show broadcast from New York in over 40 years. I'm Jimmy Fallon and I'll be your host...for now," he quipped. Fallon even took a moment to introduce himself “for those watching for the first time.” "I'm 39 years old, I live in New York City with my beautiful wife Nancy and my six-month old daughter Winnie. I love her so much. She's the best thing that ever happened to me," he gushed.
Fallon worked it as the new host.
