Residents of Jim Henson's hometown are set to rename a bridge in honour of the late Muppets creator.
Local officials in Leland, Mississippi, where Henson grew up, will unveil the newly-renamed monument, The Rainbow Connection, on Saturday (24Sep11) with help from Fran Brill, one of the original puppeteers on Sesame Street, according to the Associated Press.
The bridge's new name comes from a song performed by the Muppets in the 1979 film The Muppet Movie.
Henson, who passed away in 1990, was most famous for his puppet creations in programmes such as The Muppet Show, Fraggle Rock and Sesame Street, as well as 1986 movie Labyrinth.
