Jessica Simpson is a mother again, as the singer has given birth to her first son, with the baby arriving on Sunday (June 30) via a scheduled C-section at a Los Angeles hospital. Deciding on the name Ace Knute Johnson, this is the second child for Simpson and her former American football-playing fiance Eric Johnson, who already have a 1-year-old daughter named Maxwell Drew.

The Fashion Star mentor and her husband were keeping the pregnancy relatively private from the public eye, with Simpson announcing that she was pregnant again on Christmas day 2012, but mentioning that she plans on keeping the sex of the child a secret. That was until Simpson appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live back in March when she accidentally blurted out that she was having pregnancy cravings.

"It's a total different pregnancy. I just feel awful ... I've been vomiting and the crazy thing is, I never knew a wiener could actually make me nauseous," Simpson revealed at the time, realising afterwards what she had just said, before clarifying, "Well, I guess I just told the world I'm having a boy."

Simpson and her retired NFL tight end fiance first met back in May 2010 and announced their engagement only a few months later in November, but have yet to set a date for the big day just yet. Their first child, Maxwell Drew Johnson, was born in May 2012 and following her first pregnancy Jessica became the spokesperson for Weight Watchers, however she has since said that she wont be renewing her contract with the weight-loss programe following her latest pregnancy.
