Jesse James has been awarded sole custody of his seven-year-old daughter Sunny.

The 42-year-old motorcycle entrepreneur- who was previously married to Sandra Bullock - feels "vindicated" after a judge in California ruled on Monday (25.07.11) his former wife Janine Lindemulder must enter rehab if she chooses to move to Texas to be close to her ex-husband and daughter.

Jesse's lawyer John Schilling said: "Jesse is very pleased with this decision. He feels that all along, he's been saying what Janine needs is inpatient treatment, and until she faces up to her own issues and problems, she'll never be able to have a good relationship with her daughter. He feels totally vindicated with what the court has decided."

If Janine decides to remain in California, she will only be allowed limited monitored visits to Sunny.

John explained to UsMagazine.com: "If she decides not to move to Texas, she gets one weekend a month basically, with no overnights, but a total of eight to 10 hours of monitored visitation in Texas with Sunny."

News Jesse - who also has children Chandler, 16, Jesse Jr., 17, from a previous relationship - has been given full custody of Sunny comes shortly after it emerged his engagement to Tattoo model Kat Von D has come to an end.

Speaking about the custody outcome, John commented: "This is great news compared to some of the other news he's had this week."
