The Rather Be hitmaker pulled out of the show at short notice and fellow singer Ella Eyre stepped in to replace her.

Glynne took to Twitter.com to explain her absence, writing, "I'm so devastated and sad to announce that I won't be performing at the Isle Of Wight Festival... I haven't been well and my doctor has told I'm not allowed to sing. I'm so sorry if I have let anyone down! I'm gutted! I will get better as soon as possible and I'll be back to make it up to you! Big love and hugs and I hope you understand and hope everyone who is going has an amazing day! Wish I could be there."

During her set, Eyre told the crowd, "Unfortunately Jess Glynne can't be here today so I'm here as her replacement, can we please give it up for Jess Glynne and I hope she gets well soon... (Let's) makes some noise. This afternoon, all I want to do is have some fun... So sorry that Jess couldn't be here."

After the show, Eyre told Britain's The Sun newspaper, "They asked me to be on standby. All my band were on holiday in Europe and had to come back."

The second night of the festival was headlined by British rockers Blur. The event closes on Sunday (14Jun15) with a performance by Fleetwood Mac.
