Jeremy Renner says there's ''nothing better than Christmas with kids''.

The 'American Hustle' star is father to nine-month-old daughter, Ava Berlin, with his ex-partner Sonni Pacheco and can't wait for his first festive celebrations as a dad.

He told The Modesto Bee newspaper: ''The holidays are all about family, and there's nothing better than Christmas with kids.''

Jeremy, 42, also said becoming a parent has made him re-prioritise his life and the roles he will take in future.

He added: ''[Fatherhood] is not going to change what I do. It changes how much I do. I am certainly very cognitive now of where things shoot; I don't want to be away from my family like I was for the past several years on the franchise run.''

Despite his assertions, Jeremy has a busy schedule ahead of him, as he is set to reprise his role of Hawkeye in 'The Avengers: Age of Ultron' and is also rumoured to be working on a new 'Mission: Impossible' film and another instalment in the 'Bourne' franchise.

He added: ''It's exciting and exhilarating and daunting. I'm very excited for the idea of these things actually happening.

''I know they are happening at some point. But I don't think I'll really believe it until I'm actually on the set doing it.

''I've been in this business for so long, there are lots of ways things can go. Those are all months and months, ahead for me.''
