HOUSE star Jennifer Morrison was left embarrassed after fiance Jesse Spencer proposed to her in French.
The couple were holidaying in Paris when the former Australian soap star proposed to Morrison at the top of the Eiffel Tower with the words "Veux-tu m'épouser?"
Morrison recalls, "I was like, 'Uh, what are you doing?' He said, 'I'm asking you to marry me in French!' I was just staring at him. I don't speak French. And he said, 'Well, are you going to answer?' And I replied, 'Oh, yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!' "
It was third time lucky for Spencer who had been trying to propose for six months, firstly on holiday in Costa Rica and secondly during a camping trip.
He says, "She's just so frickin' smart, and I didn't want her to have any inkling that it was about to happen."
The couple, who started dating in 2004, plan to marry later this year at a private ceremony in Los Angeles.
