Sure, Jena Irene delivered a great performance on Wednesday’s American Idol, but FCC warning-worthy? Jennifer Lopez seems to think so. Wednesday’s show was centered around the theme of love, with each of the four remaining contestants performing three songs – a “break-up”, “make-up” and “dedication”. In the end, Jena’s “dedication” performance stole the show. The 17-year-old musician reminded everyone what got her into the final four with a cover of Elvis Presley’s Can’t Help Falling In Love With You.

Jena Irene
As of last night, Jena is a favorite for the final three.

Jena accompanied herself on the piano and, in a rather endearing twist, dedicated the song to her mother, ahead of Mother’s Day Sunday. Jennifer Lopez was apparently so stunned during her performance, that she could be seen mouthing “f—k” to Randy Jackson, before the cameras cut away from her to the audience. Well, the FCC probably won’t be knocking on Idol’s door anytime soon, but Ryan Seacrest still poked fun at Lopez for the incident, saying: "We saw you in that song and you turned to Randy and you said FUN."

Jena Irene
Irene's Elvis cover got an extreme reaction.

"Fun," Lopez confirmed, holding her head in her hands as she asked: "You were on me?"

And just in case she hadn’t made herself clear, after the performance JLo even got up to give Jena a peck on the cheek.

"You sat there and just reinvented it," she gushed. "I could cry now. It's crazy." Connick added. "That took such immense courage to perform that song in that way."

Sounds like Irene will be fairly safe during tonight’s elimination round then.

The judges loved Irene's performance - perhaps a little bit too much.
