Jennifer Lawrence was spotted with a new (and very handsome) man by her side earlier this week and the internet has gone wild wanting to know who he is. For those hoping there’s some scandal brewing, hold your horses! Lawrence’s new dashing friend is actually her bodyguard.

The 24-year-old actress, who is reportedly dating Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, was photographed in Tribeca, New York on Wednesday and Thursday (10th and 11th June) with her new bodyguard on hand. Her bodyguard, who is reportedly called Greg Lenz, was spotted holding her tiny dog and helping her carry shopping bags on two separate occasions. Fans have also been sharing other pictures of Lawrence’s new bodyguard online and have been appreciating Lenz more than Lawrence. 

The Hunger Games actress apparently enjoys having some eye candy around the place, a source close to Lawrence revealed. "Jennifer likes the hot ones!" the source told Us Weekly.

This is not the first time Lawrence has employed a handsome bodyguard as she caused something of a stir last year when she was snapped with Jason Riblet. According to a source, it’s not uncommon for bodyguards to swap away from more “intense” clients after a short time. Sadly, for some fans, there was no romantic relationship between Riblet and Lawrence. There almost certainly isn’t with Lenz as Lawrence’s latest bodyguard is reportedly married. However, that hasn’t stopped some Twitter users for wishing there was some romantic entanglement.

“I need Jennifer Lawrence to date her bodyguard,” one Twitter user wrote. 

“Hi Jennifer Lawrence, the two of you should just date and stay married forever,” another user wrote.
