Jennifer Hudson has dropped perhaps the strongest indication yet that Sex and the City might not be done on the big screen.

Jennifer HudsonJennifer Hudson had said a third Sex and the City movie "might happen."

In a interview with Dish Nation, Hudson was asked wether she thought a third movie could be happening, "I think it might be,” she answered. "Somebody just came to me talking about that. So, if it's in the talks, it might happen. So, look for it. Look for Louise from St Louis!”

Hudson starred in the the 2008 Sex and the City movie as Louise, Carrie Bradshaw’s optimistic assistant, however her character did not return for the 2010 sequel.

But this isn't the first time that Sex and the City 3 has seemed inevitable if not imminent. Back in February, producer Michael Patrick King told Entertainment Weekly that the team had "one story left" in them back. While star Sarah Jessica Parker also said this year, "Michael and I know what the story would be, but when and if it's ever told, there has been no concrete discussion about it ever,” in a interview with Harper's Bazaar magazine.

Both Cynthia Nixon and Kristen Davis, who played Miranda Hobbs and Charlotte York respectively, have also given their approval for a third movie in the past, with Davis telling Entertainment Tonight, “If the situation arose where we had a script and everyone loved it, and the studio wanted to make it, I think that it would be fantastic and I hope it happens but I have no idea if it will happen.”

However one cast member who might need a little more convincing is Samantha Jones herself, Kim Cattrall who in January said, "I feel the most important thing is always, do we have something left to say.” Adding, " I think it's about the story, if there's something more to say ... [but] I'm not a writer and I don't work in a studio."
