Guitar great Jeff Beck has ruled out reforming late 1960s supergroup the Jeff Beck GROUP, insisting his planned 2011 project with singer Rod Stewart will be just that.
The two Brits plan to get together and record new material later this year (11), but Beck insists Ronnie Wood and Aynsley Dunbar won't be part of the get together - because he has no interest in revisiting the past.
He tells Spinner.com, "He's (Stewart) got me fired up for something to do rather than worry about my next album... I'm going to put a band together.
"(Ronnie's) a Rolling Stone, I can't use him in my band... It's not the Jeff Beck Group with Rod; it's me, probably with my choice of players. We have to see in the lottery who ends up winning when we make the album."
