Jason Aldean's Tour Bus Hits & Kills Indiana Pedestrian

Jason Aldean

Country singer Jason Aldean was on his tour bus this morning (28th October) when it hit a pedestrian in Indiana. The tour bus was travelling along Highway 41 North when it struck and killed a man who had walked into the centre of the road. The incident occurred at approximately 1.30AM and it seems uncertain why the victim stepped into traffic or why he was wandering around in the middle of a Sunday night.

Taylor Swift, Kacey Musgraves Dominate This Year's CMA Awards Nominees List

Taylor Swift Kacey Musgraves Miranda Lambert Blake Shelton Carrie Underwood Jason Aldean

The CMA nominations have been announced, y’all, and this year everyone’s favorite country girl Taylor Swift appears to have some competition, in the face of debutante Kacey Musgraves. Both Swift and Musgraves received six nods for the country awards, including categories, which have been almost reserved for Taylor for the past couple of years – Album of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year.

Taylor might have some tough competition in the face of newcommer Kacey Musgraves.

The other favorite to win some of those… pointy… statuettes this year is Miranda Lambert, whose work has been nominated in both solo and group categories (with Pistol Annies) and whose special brand of sass has been making waves this year. Lambert’s husband, Blake Shelton is also up for five categories, including Entertainer of the Year and Album of the Year. No surprises there, but with Swift, Musgraves and Carrie Underwood all competing in the Album category, he’ll have a tough time beating the odds. The same goes for the Entertainer category, where Shelton is once again up against that powerhouse of a performer Swift, as well as Jason Aldean, George Strait and Luke Bryant – all huge names in country at the moment.

Jason Aldean Files For Divorce, 6 Months After Kissing 'Idol' Singer

Jason Aldean American Idol

Jason Aldean really has put his wife Jessica through the mill in recent months, hasn't he? Firstly, TMZ.com, snapped him cheating on his high-school sweetheart wife with a woman in a Hollywood bar, and now HE's the one that's filed for divorce. Country star Aldean filed papers in Tennessee on April 26, 2013, seeking to end his 11 years marriage due to "irreconcilable differences."

The 36-year-old singer filed the papers on the same day that he announced he and Jessica had separated. At the time, Aldean's representative had said the couple were "having problems" though there was no mention of a divorce. It appears the problems began when Aldean was snapped kissing American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr on the Sunset Strip in September while he was in Los Angeles for a concert. He and wife Jessica attempted to patch things up and even walked the rep carpet together back in November, though it doesn't appear to have worked. "This is a really tough time for my entire family," Aldean said in a statement on Monday afternoon, "Jessica and I have been together since we were teenagers. We've been through a lot of ups and downs over the years as we grew up together as a couple. She will always be important to me because she is the mother of my children, and I know that we will both always make our daughters our (hash)1 priority."

Aldean and his wife back long before he became country music's top selling male act. Recently, he won the Academy of Country Music's male vocalist of the year award. The couple have two children together, Keeley and Kendyl.

Jason Aldean Files For Divorce From Wife, Admits It 'Is A Real Tough Time'

Jason Aldean

Jason Aldean has called time on his twelve year marriage, with the country singer and his wife Jessica citing irreconcilable differences between themselves as the reason for their split, People confirmed. Aldean's marriage has regularly taken up tabloid inches since last year, after rumours of infidelity and flirting with an American Idol contestant began in late 2012.

The divorce papers were filed on Friday (April 26), a day after Aldean's rep confirmed that the two were experiencing troubles in the relationship. Aldean, 36, and his wife Jessica are parents to daughters Keeley, 10, and Kendyl, 5, and seemed to have a happy family life until photographs emerged showing the country star getting cosy with season 11 American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr last fall.

Jason Aldean And Wife Jessica Ussery To Divorce

Jason Aldean

It’s all official now. Jason Aldean’s marriage to Jessica Ussery is over after reports suggesting that they were heading to split-upville following images that showed the country star kissing American Idol Season 11 contestant Brittany Kerr last September.

The news is somewhat sad given that the pair are childhood sweethearts, having met in High School, while there are also children involved: the couple are the parents of two daughters. The pair have been married since 2001 but things went sour following Aldean’s kiss with Kerr last September. The couple tried to move on and make another go of things, making a couple of public appearances together at the end of 2012 to try and convince themselves and the world that they were back on track; however it proved to be a folly and it appears that Aldean’s actions have been irreversible, with the split between the couple officially being announced last Friday (April 26, 2013). It’s since been revealed by TMZ that divorce papers to end the marriage were also completed and handed in on the same day.

In a statement following the event, Kerr said “The actions I portrayed recently were not a representation of my true character, but a lapse in judgment on my part. I would like to sincerely apologize to everyone that has been affected by this, including my friends & family.”

Is Jason Aldean's 11-Year Marriage At An End?

Jason Aldean

Jason Aldean’s marriage looks to be on the rocks with reports circulating that he and Jessica Ussery have split, seven months after the country singer was photographed making out with American Idol alumni Brittany Kerr.

A source apparently close to the pair has been speaking to Us Weekly about the rumored separation, and said "There were obvious problems before the bar kiss, but he finally left earlier this year.” A rep meanwhile commented "I can confirm that Jason and his wife are having problems, but there is nothing more to share at this time. It's a private family matter, and we hope everyone will respect that he would like to keep it that way." Yeah, probably want to track down that source then post-haste.

Aldean has previously put up a strong front regarding the pair’s marriage, which has spawned two daughters. "It hasn't always been roses," he admitted of the 11-year union. "We've been together for a long time and through a lot of things together. Those are things that most people get to deal with in private, but we didn't have the luxury of doing that. Any couple that's been married for 30, 40, 50 years faces make-or-break moments.” Unfortunately it looks like it’s been his dalliances that have broken them.

Carrie Underwood And Jason Aldean Lead Tributes To The Late Mindy McCready

Mindy McCready Jason Aldean Carrie Underwood Leann Rimes

Tributes have poured in from the world of country music after the shocking news emerged that troubled country star Mindy McCready allegedly took her own life in her home yesterday (February 17, 2013). Sadly McCready never fully capitalized on her twice platinum selling debut album Ten Thousand Angels, released in 1996 when she was just 20, and in an all-too-familiar tragic tale, her life was eventually over taken by legal issues and substance problems.

Nevertheless her music, including five studio albums, inspired many who’ve gone on to make waves in the genre, and that was replicated in the messages that came out on Twitter in wake of the news of her death. “Just heard about Mindy McCready. My thoughts and prayers are with her 2 boys and her family” wrote the multiple award-winning Jason Aldean, whilst American Idol alumni Carried Underwood added “I grew up listening to Mindy McCready...so sad for her family tonight. Many prayers are going out to them...”

Other who came forward in homage to the late singer included Leann Rimes, who wrote “My heart goes out to Mindy McCready's family. I knew her well. It's a horribly [sic] tragedy. May peace be with her son's.” Those who were big at the time of her own height of fame chipped in too, with Wynonna Judd writing “Oh my! Mindy. Dear sweet girl. This is so sad. It just breaks my heart what addiction continues to take from this life.” McCready was 37 years old at the time of her death; just last month her boyfriend had died of a suspected suicide.

'The Chief' Eric Church Leads ACM Awards 2013 Nominees With 7 Nods, But Taylor Swift Expected To Sweep

Taylor Swift Eric Church Miranda Lambert Hunter Hayes Blake Shelton Jason Aldean

The ACM Awards shortlist has been announced, one of the biggest awards shows in the American country music scene. Fully-named The Academy of Country Music Awards, is looks like 2013 could be the year of Eric Church, who seems to be set for reverence indeed after being named as a candidate in seven categories.

Known as the Chief, Church nevertheless isn’t up for the top category of the event – which will be held on April 7 in Las Vegas. Entertainer of the year will be contested by many of the established names on the country circuit, including Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton and Taylor Swift. We’re not quite sure how much a part of the ‘scene’ Swift can really feel these days to be honest, but never mind, she’s going for her third straight win in the category.

Going back to whose up for the most gongs though, it would appear that Hunter Hayes is just one behind ‘the Chief’, with six nominations, whilst Lambert and Swift are on five each. We wouldn’t bet against Swift winning all five of her categories: entertainer of the year, top female vocalist, video of the year, album of the year (artist) and album of the year (producer). For Hayes, he was just thrilled with the nominations. “It’s amazing. That puts it in perspective,” he said, according to the New York Daily News. “I’m kind of feeling like I’m part of the family now, especially now, with this. That’s such an honor, such a huge compliment. This is serious. This is for real. This says that my music’s been accepted by this community and it’s unbelievable — and that’s one of the best feelings in the world.”

Luke Bryan Smashes American Country Awards With Nine Accolades

Luke Bryan Jason Aldean Eric Church Miranda Lambert Lady Antebellum Carrie Underwood Brad Paisley Jake Owen Lauren Alaina Little Big Town Zac Brown Band

Luke Bryan scooped a whopping nine awards at the American Country Awards on Monday (December 10th 2012) missing out on only two other possible titles.

The artist won nine out of 24 awards which, considering fifteen of those were reserved for females, groups, collaborations and new artists, isn't bad at all as he only lost out on two other possible accolades for 'Touring Artist of the Year' which went to Jason Aldean and Song of the Year which went to Eric Church and his song 'Springsteen' featuring Jeff Hyde and Ryan Tyndell. Luke's awards included Artist of the Year (general and male category), Album of the Year for his Tailgates & Tanlines, Single of the Year (both general and male) for 'I Don't Want This Night To End' - a song which also earned him Music Video of the Year (general and male, again) and Most Played Radio Track (once more, for the general and male categories).

Miranda Lambert was the highest female earner of ACA accolades, winning three for her song 'Over You': Single of the Year (Female), Music Video of the Year (Female) and Most Played Radio Track (Female). Lady Antebellum won the most awards for a group including Artist of the Year (Group) and Single of the Year (Group) for their song 'We Owned The Night'.

Album Release Highlights: Jason Aldean, Jason Lytle, Scotty McCareery, Martha Wainwright (Oct 16, 2012)

Jason Aldean Jason Lytle Scotty Mccreery Martha Wainwright

Jason Aldean is already sitting pretty at the top of the country music singles charts, with ‘Take A Little Ride’ and this week, he’s looking to do the same with his album, Night Train. It’s the fifth studio album from the 35 year-old, who likes to mix a little hip-hop in with his country. Night Train is pretty much a dead cert to storm to the top of the US country music charts, but how will it fare in the Billboard Hot 100? His last full-length release, My Kinda Party rocked in at number two; surely this time round, Aldean will be looking for that elusive top spot?

From country infused with hip-hop to one of the forefathers of ‘alt-country’: Jason Lytle. Formerly of Grandaddy, Lytle releases his fourth solo album this week, entitled Department of Disappearance. So far, the album’s received an impressive score of 80 on the metacritic reviews site but it remains to be seen whether or not an alternative artist such as Lytle can translate into chart success.

It looks as though country music will be dominating this week’s charts again; American Idol winner Scotty Mccreery is getting in early with the Christmas releases and launching his festive tunes for all of the world to hear. If the phrase Christmas With Scotty McCreery fills you with dread then this is never going to be the album for you. If however, the thought of having your family dinner soundtracked by the pearly-white perma-grinning McCreery sounds agreeable then you may as well get in early, grab a copy of the album right now and watch to see if he can grab another US number one album, or whether he will have to admit defeat to the almighty Aldean.

Three Week Reign: Jason Aldean Tops Country Chart With Take A Little Ride

Jason Aldean Miranda Lambert Carrie Underwood Dustin Lynch

Jason Aldean’s ‘Take A Little Ride’ has taking a pretty long ride – straight to the top of the country music charts.

The latest single from Aldean has ben at the top of the charts for three weeks now and is showing no signs of shifting just yet. According to tasteofcountry.com, the success of ‘Take A Little Ride’ is not just good news for Aldean, but also for the three writers involved in penning the chart-topping track: Rodney Clawson, Dylan Altman and Jim McCormick.

‘Take A Little Ride’ is the sixth in a string of Jason Aldean songs to top the country music charts; it certainly seems that he has the Midas touch when it comes to creating chart success for himself (with a little help from his record label of course… and the songwriters). Prior to the release of this current track, Aldean had found success with ‘My Kinda Party,’ ‘Don’t You Wanna Stay,’ ‘Dirt Road Anthem,’ ‘Tattoos on This Town’ and ‘Fly Over States.’ On October 16, 2012, Jason Aldean will be releasing his fifth studio album, Night Train, from which the current track is the debut single.

Jason Aldean And Brittany Kerr's Kiss Regret

Jason Aldean

Although 2012 has been a brilliant year for Jason Aldean's career, winning both best country album, and best country song in the Billboard Music Awards, his personal life seems to have taken a downturn due to a drunken kiss with American Idol ex-participant, Brittany Kerr.

Since the photos of their kiss were released, a tirade of abuse has come Kerr's way, resulting in her deleting her Twitter account. She was called a 'homewrecker' among a variety of other insulting profanities.

Aldean has been married to his high-school sweetheart for 11 years, with whom he has two daughters. In response to the photos, he immediately spoke out to his fans on Facebook and said "The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar. I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that's the end of the story. I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself. I'm not perfect, and I'm sorry for disappointing you guys."

Brittany Kerr Apologizes For Jason Aldean Kiss

Jason Aldean

After Brittany Kerr and Jason Aldean enjoyed a drunken kiss, Kerr has apologized for her inappropriate behaviour with the married country singer, reports TMZ.

The former "American Idol" contestant said, "The actions I portrayed recently were not a representation of my true character, but a lapse in judgment on my part. I would like to sincerely apologize to everyone that has been affected by this, including my friends & family.” Aldean and Kerr were pictured getting up close and personal on the patio of a crowded bar on the Sunset Strip, and Aldean, whose wife won’t have appreciated the pics, also apologized, saying the whole thing was a drunken mistake. “The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar,” he tweeted to his 700,000 followers. “I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself. I'm not perfect, and I'm sorry for disappointing you guys,” he added. Aldean has been married to his high school sweetheart, Jessica Ussery, since August 2001, and they have two daughters, Keeley, nine, and Kendyl, four.

Talking of Twitter, Kerr didn’t have the same apologetic experience on the micro blogging site. She has now deleted her Twitter account due to a barrage of abuse, which seems unfair considering it very much took two to tango. She was called a ‘homewrecker’ and was accused of taking advantage of the Country & Western singer.

Brittany Kerr Forced To Close Down Twitter Account After Angry Jason Aldean Fans Attack Her

Jason Aldean

Brittany Kerr has been forced to close down her Twitter account after she was virtually set upon by a herd of angry Jason Aldean fans incensed after seeing picture of the pair kissing at the weekend. As has been widely reported, country star Aldean was seen kissing the American Idol contestant in a Los Angeles bar over the weekend, with pictures making their way out onto the internet. This is a bit of an issue given that Aldean is married and has two kids with his childhood sweetheart.

Aldean had released a statement on his Facebook page, talking to fans and saying "The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar." He'd added "I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that's the end of the story. I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself. I'm not perfect, and I'm sorry for disappointing you guys. I really appreciate being able to work through this privately with my family and for all your continued support."

Fans have evidently read that and turned the blame towards Kerr, with TMZ.com reporting some of the more printable tweets aimed at the now deleted account."Disgusting home-wrecking tramp!" read one, with another adding "what is wrong with you taking advantage of a married man while he was drinking." Kerr never went home with Aldean, and sources claim she didn't know he was married. We're pretty sure this won't be happening again at any rate.

Jason Aldean Apologises To Fans For 'American Idol' Contestant Kiss

Jason Aldean

Jason Aldean is married and has children, but that didn't stop the country star copping off with American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr at a bar in Los Angeles recently. With incriminating pictures now all over the internet, the musician has done the only thing he really can do in the circumstances - publicly grovelled.

Addressing his fans on Facebook, Aldean issued a statement that read "I wanted to talk to you directly, so you were hearing the truth from me and not just reading allegations made about my personal life on gossip websites." Blaming the booze, the artist continued: "The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar."

"I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that's the end of the story," Aldean added. "I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself. I'm not perfect, and I'm sorry for disappointing you guys. I really appreciate being able to work through this privately with my family and for all your continued support." Aldean has been married to his high school sweetheart Jessica Ussery since 2001 and the couple have two young daughters. The statement has caused quite a reaction among his fans, with nearly 29,000 comments being left under the message.
