The 49-year-old says doctors have ordered her to ‘rest up’.
Janet Jackson has told her fans she will be postponing her Unbreakable World Tour in order to ‘plan a family’ with husband Wissam Al Mana. Last month the 49-year-old postponed the beginning of the European leg of the tour, after previously postponing 29 dates on the US leg of the tour.
Janet Jackson has announced plans to ‘start a family’.
In a video posted to twitter Jackson said: "Hey, you guys. On Aug. 31, as you probably, know I launched the Unbreakable World Tour. First I just want to thank all the fans for coming out and seeing the show. Thank you so much.”
"You guys made it so enjoyable each and every night. We're in the second leg of the tour and there actually has been a sudden change. I thought it was important that you would be the first to know my husband and I are planning our family, so I'm going to have to delay the tour.”
“Please, if you can try to understand that it's important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor's orders. But I have not forgotten about you. I will continue to tour as soon as I possibly can.” The message prompted many fans to think Jackson was already pregnant and they began offering their congratulations.
In January Jackson was forced to deny rumours she had cancer following the cancellation of more tour dates. “The rumours are untrue. I do not have cancer,” Jackson wrote on Instagram. “Im recovering. My doctors have approved my concerts as scheduled in Europe, and as I promised, the postponed shows will be rescheduled. Thank you for your prayers and love."
