Jamie Foxx gave Christoph Waltz a saddle fitted with a seat belt as a comedy get well present after he fell from a horse on the set of Django Unchained.

The Austrian-German actor was left with a severe pelvis injury when he was thrown from his horse while preparing for his role in Quentin Tarantino's Western in 2011.

Waltz admits he was terrified to get back in the saddle, but Foxx made him smile with his humorous gift.

He tells U.S. talk show host Conan O'Brien, "It was not only uncomfortable, I admit I was a little scared. A horse is very big and I'm sort of a regular person! So the first canter, the first gallop, I was afraid of. But then I had these wonderful teachers and trainers and friends helping me, supporting me.

"Jamie gave me a saddle with a seat belt. He really did, he gave me this big beautiful saddle and there was a seat belt on with a buckle and everything...

"Unfortunately I broke my pelvis. Now I beep at airports. I got a plate and screws, the works. I'm bionic now."

Waltz has another souvenir to remember Django Unchained by - he picked up a Golden Globe on Sunday (13Jan13) for his role as Dr. King Schultz.
