Jamie Dornan's Rep Denies He's Pulled Out Of 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' Sequels

A representative for Jamie Dornan has denied reports that the actor has pulled out of any future Fifty Shades of Grey movies, after rumours circulated saying he’d ‘walked away’ from the burgeoning franchise.

Speaking to E! News, a rep for Dornan tried to quash the rumours saying, ”All press reports are pure conjecture as the studio has not committed to a sequel as yet.”

The rebuttal comes after Australian magazine NW, quoted an anonymous source as saying Dornan had pulled out of doing any future Fifty Shades movies, because his wife Amelia Warner was unhappy about the film’s explicit sex scenes. Dornan has been married to actress and singer Amelia for two years and the couple have a 16 month old daughter, Dulice together.

Previously the 32 year old had admitted his wife was yet to see Fifty Shades, telling The Evening Standard, “Amelia hasn’t seen the film and I don’t think she will, to be honest, I’d understand if she didn’t want to."

But the rumours about Dornan’s future have only added to the uncertainty over the Fifty Shades sequels, which are yet to be officially announced by studio Universal.

Last week, reports surfaced saying that director Sam Taylor-Johnson wouldn’t be returning to direct Fifty Shades Darker, due to her tempestuous relationship with the book’s writer E.L.James. Taylor-Johnson and James were said to have fought frequently on set, with the author demanding that the film’s script keep the book’s original dialogue.

But when quizzed by E! about future Fifty Shades movies, at Vanity Fair's pre-Oscar party on Sunday, star Eloise Mumford, who plays Anastasia’s roommate Kate, kept positive saying "we'll see.” "We're all just sort of revelling in the fact that it did so well right now, and we're super-thrilled that so many people went and saw it," the actress added.
