Time for Corden and The Brits to part ways, but not without a bang.
James Corden has become synonymous with The Brits of late, but he’ll have to let go of that tonight when he hosts the show for the last time. He’s planning on going out with a bang, but could we have a live distaster on our hands?
James Corden will be hosting the Brits for the last time tonight
The Mirror have reported that Corden wants to ‘go out in a blaze of glory’. There wasn’t much information, other than the fact the practise run didn’t exactly go to plan…
"Things got a bit out of hand during rehearsals, and the flames were massive, so organisers are a bit worried about how it will go on the night,” a source told The Mirror. “James is confident he can handle it though and it will certainly be a lively opening to the show.”
If that’s not a reason to tune in, then there really aren’t any. Well, there is Beyonce actually. Corden let slip to Zoe Ball on Radio 2 that the queen of pop will be performing at tonight’s award show.
"There's this weird thing with this year's Brits where I've been - more than any other year - told things I can't say," Corden told BBC Radio 2's Zoe Ball. "But I figure it's the day..."
He then said, after turning to his PR people, "I must be able to tell you? Beyoncé. Beyoncé is performing tonight. She's performing a track she has never ever performed live before. Ever."
One person who won’t be enjoying Bey’s performance is Jake Bugg, as the little rugrat of contrived pop doesn’t even want to be there.
“It’s boring,” he says. “I don’t really want to go but I might as well. I’ve got nothing else to do. I love the party afterwards, don’t get me wrong, they’re great but the actual event is pretty boring when you have to watch those crap acts perform.”
Don’t go then.
