The Inbetweeners 2 is smashing records - but does it mean a third movie is being lined up?
James Buckley, the star of The Inbetweeners series and subsequent movies, admits that a third film could happen should writers Damon Beesley and Iain Morris get the script right. The quartet, made up of Buckley, Simon Bird, Joe Thomas and Blake Harrison, have been forthright in their intention to leave the Inbetweeners story in Australia - the setting of the sequel - though with box-office records once again being smashed, they may receive an offer they can't refuse.
James Buckley [L] is open to a third Inbetweeners movie
"I was proud of the last one and thought, "We're not going to top that",' he told Metro. "Then the guys came to us with this idea of going on a trip and that's absolutely brilliant but I don't think it can get much bigger than Australia.

The pressure is on for The Inbetweeners 3 after this box-office haul.
Three years ago, The Inbetweeners Movie opened by stealth in August 2011, making a monster £2.58 million in its first day of release, a one-day UK record for a comedy. Without any press screenings, the TV-comedy based movie caught critics by surprise, as word about the release came only through TV ads, cast appearances and posters on the sides of busses.
The Inbetweeers are back!
But everyone was ready for the sequel's arrival this week. It opened on Wednesday without any press screenings, but several journalists were invited along to Tuesday night's premiere. And despite mixed reviews (four stars from The Telegraph, one star from Little White Lies, two-and-a-half from Contactmusic), the film broke its own record by taking £2.7 million on Wednesday. The only films that have made more in one midweek day are the final Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings movies.

...And they haven't even put the best jokes in the trailer!
The trailer has finally been released for the long-awaited sequel to 2011's The Inbetweeners Movie, The Inbetweeners 2. Jay, Simon, Neil and Will are back for another round of lewd, rude and cringe-worthy hijinks...but this time they're Down Under.
The Sequel Sees The Guys Applying Their Very Unique Girl-Charming Skills Down Under.
Yes indeed, after the last movie was set mainly in Malia where the guys ventured for their summer holiday, the sequel will be based in Australia as the boys take a gap year before embracing their lives as adults. "You know why they call it Down Under?" says Jay. "'Cause that's where your face spends most of the time."

The four musketeers are back once again after their eventful (and mostly deeply embarrassing) post-A Level escapades in Malia. While we saw them apparently bag themselves the girls of their dreams, unsurprisingly it doesn't look like the romance has lasted and now they are back to their single selves - well, apart from Simon. When Simon, Will and Neil decide to join Jay on his gap year in sunny Australia, Simon struggles to dump his overbearing and uber needy girlfriend. He's still as awkward as ever, Neil's still stupid, Jay is still a total liar and Will's mum is still fit, but the boys have a brand new car now dubbed the 'Mobile Virgin Conversion Unit'. Armed with sunscreen, condoms and bags of charm, these lads are on one last mission to climb the social hierarchy ladder.
'The Inbetweeners 2' follows on from the pre-university lads' holiday of 'The Inbetweeners Movie'; an award winning big screen spin-off of the popular Channel 4 comedy series. With Ben Palmer having directed the first movie, creators of the TV series Damon Beesley and Iain Morris have taken on the role this time while also writing the script. The movie is scheduled to hit the UK and Ireland on August 6th 2014.
'The Inbetweeners Movie 2' will see the fab four going down under.
The cast of The Inbetweeners will be headed to Australia to film the next feature-length chapter in the crude and hilarious exploits of the four friends, Neil, Simon, Jay and Will. The 2011 movie was so well received that the comedy's creators have set their sights on another movie, this time set Down Under, according to Iain Morris and Damon Beesley.
We're Due More Hilarious 'Inbetweeners' Action Next Year.
Producers have confirmed that The Inbetweeners Movie 2 will be shot in Australia this month before the team heads back to the UK in January with a Summer 2014 release date pencilled in, according to distributor EFD, via Digital Spy. There's little confirmed information about the new film's plotline at the moment but the show's creators have revealed where the sequel will be set.

He read for the Alan Partridge film, but wasn't cast... obviously
Before he went off to the Cinema, paid £9 for a large popcorn, handed over his Odeon card and sat down in his premiere seats, The Inbetweener’s James Buckley admitted to his Twitter followers that he read for a part in Alpha Papa, the film he was off to see that evening.
The Alpha Papa poster
Of course, he didn’t get the part, but he still felt the need to tell us that, which can probably give us some sort of indication as to why they didn’t give him the job.

August 2014 will see the boys back for another adventure
The Inbetweeners holds a unique place in British hearts. It started out as a Channel 4 comedy, featuring the burgeoning talents of four young guys, and was quietly adored by a loyal audience.
Suddenly, the indie-pop scene connections got bigger, the in-jokes got quoted and before you knew it, “bus w***er” and “care friend” were basically phrases. People said them as phrases. It became a phenomenon, and while many considered the apex of the franchise to arrive with the first feature film, they’d be wrong.
A second one is on the way, promising more ridiculous girl-hunting, the bonds of friendship and above all, banter fuel, because you haven’t actually got any real things to talk to your mates about anyway, have you? The news was announced via the film’s Facebook page, which, given the target demographic, is the only real place to put it.

Prepare for another dose of awkward, laddish shenanigans.
In a year filled with sequels, the announcement of the second Inbetweeners movie still comes as a bit of a surprise. But the first movie, based on the cult E4 show did go on to become a huge hit, so the second one is probably a good investment. The 2011 Inbetweeners movie, which centered around Will, Jay, Simon and Neil heading off to the Greek island of Crete for a post-graduation holiday, became the highest grossing comedy in the history of British cinema. With an opening weekend of £13 million and over £80 million in worldwide earnings, the film set the bar high for future sequels.
Guess who's back?
Filming on Part 2 begins later this year and the film is set to be released in August 2014. Creators Iain Morris and Damon Beesley said in a statement for the BBC: "We couldn't be more excited to be making another Inbetweeners movie."

Numerous rockstars flocked to launch of Liam Gallagher's Pretty Green London Collections: Men's Autumn/Winter 2013 on Monday night (January 7th 2013) at The Arts Club and he certainly seemed to be in celebratory mode. He was spotted in his usual indie get-up with a black jacket and jeans, decidedly avoiding the opportunity to don a smart suit on the red carpet. On the other hand, he wasn't the only one - his longtime bandmate Gem Archer, who joined him in his band Beady Eye after Oasis, wore an identical jacket and their friend Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan favoured very similar style shoes. Andy Bell, also from Beady Eye, attended though looked distinctly smarter.
Gallagher's wife Nicole Appleton from All Saints was also at the event showing her support for her fashion designer husband. Aside from the new collection, he has several ventures for Pretty Green he wants to concentrate on in 2013 including a range of eyewear and bags to add to the business in its fourth year of running. 'We're looking into accessories heavily, having dabbled in footwear', he said at the launch. 'The world's our oyster really, we'd like to think. There's the opportunity to grow into what we want.'
The Inbetweeners star James Buckley married his childhood sweetheart Clair Meek near Edinburgh on Saturday (November 3, 2012) and was joined by his on-screen pals Simon Bird, Joe Thomas and Blake Harrison.

Bride Clair wore a classy lace white satin dress. An insider told The Sun, "It was a wonderful day and everything was perfect. James and Clair seemed so happy and looked fantastic. It was great to see James and the lads together for their big day. They never have any luck with the ladies in the series, but James definitely got the girl this time." A steady stream of guests arrived at the 15th Century Dundas Castle, including actor Danny Dyer, 35, whose girlfriend Jo caught the bouquet. The Football Factory actor tweeted, "F*** me, the old woman caught the bouquet. If West Ham win I'm proposing." Buckley and his bride were also joined by Essex band The Milk, who he's played alongside in the past.
The couple, who live together in Essex, have a enjoyed a whirlwind romance since meeting in August 2010. Buckley and his Inbetweeners co-stars are thought to be in talks for another series of the show, or a potential movie sequel.
