British Pop Star James Blunt And His Wife Sofia Wellesley Are Set To Become First-time Parents, According To A Report.
The You're Beautiful singer married Sofia, the granddaughter of the 8th Duke of Wellington, in September last year (14), and now he has reportedly confirmed they are expecting a baby.
James, who is a judge on the Australian version of reality TV show The X Factor, appeared on the red carpet at the Emeralds & Ivy Ball in Sydney, Australia on Friday (09Oct15), where he was asked whether his wife is pregnant.
The pair reportedly confirmed the news to Australia's Sunday Telegraph newspaper, but refused to go into further details on the subject.
When asked whether he and Wellesley are expecting, James told the publication, "I try not to talk about it much on the red carpet."
The pop star has previously spoken of his desire to have children, telling Britain's Hello! magazine in 2014, "Having children seems like an amazing thing to do. A lot of my friends and family have done it. It would be a shame not to experience that."
The couple became engaged in 2013 after a year of dating and they tied the knot at a ceremony in Majorca, Spain in September, 2014.
The wedding was held at a small chapel in the town of Campanet, where Sofia's father owns a property.
James previously dated model Petra Nemcova. He recently moved Down Under to take up a role on the panel of the Australian TV show, alongside veteran musician Chris Isaak and Aussie singer Guy Sebastian.
"I've... got the best gig in the world, which is I'm coming to the most amazing country in the most amazing city of Sydney and I'm on the biggest show in the world, X Factor," James previously gushed about his TV role.
