Jack O'Connell doesn't want to be labelled as a bad boy.

The 'Unbroken' actor - who rose to fame starring as a teenage troublemaker in drama series 'Skins' - is worried about ''hindering his future'' with incidents that could happen when he's not working.

He shared: ''I still have to remind myself to stay focused. Less so these days, but I am still nervous of what happens in my own time. I might react badly in certain situations that might hinder my future.

''So at the moment I'm between jobs. And I'm looking forward to getting back under it. I'd hate to find myself in a predicament that would potentially compromise what I'd like to achieve.''

And the 25-year-old star - who has had brushes with the law in the past - has made himself a rule of ''never fighting an idiot'' in the hope of avoiding any trouble.

Speaking to GQ Style magazine, he added: ''You always encounter w*****s and sometimes they get the better of you. I heard this saying about arguing with idiots.

''It goes: 'Never fight an idiot. You'll never win, because they bring you down to their level.' So I'm trying my best not to be an idiot.''
