Actor Jack Black Marked His 46th Birthday This Past Summer (15) By Watching His 2003 Film School Of Rock With His Sons.
The Kung Fu Panda star hates to watch himself on film and doesn't push his movies on his children, but he made an exception on his birthday because he felt it was time for them to see one of his favourite roles.
"On my 46th birthday I was like, 'We're gonna watch School of Rock, that's what I want to do for my birthday'," he told U.S. breakfast show Live! with Kelly and Michael. "I felt like... other kids at (their) school had seen the movie and it's kind of weird that they didn't see School of Rock, so I was like, 'We'll watch it'.
"They enjoyed it and I enjoyed it. It was like a blast from the past. I haven't seen it in, like, 12 years, since we made it, so it's like, 'Damn, I was pretty good in there, I was rocking pretty hard'."
