Hip-hop Stars Insane Clown Posse Have Been Forced To Cancel The Remaining Dates On Their U.s. Tour Due To Paperwork Issues Relating To Shaggy 2 Dope's Probation For A 2012 Dui Charge.
The rappers have been on the road for their Marvelous Missing Link In-Store Insanity Tour, but had to pull out of dates last week (ends08May15) to allow Shaggy 2 Dope to return to his native Detroit, Michigan to sort out the probation problem.
They subsequently scrapped the rest of the trek and now a representative for the group has revealed continuing with the live shows could have resulted in a probation violation for the troubled star, as he was late in submitting the required travel requests with his probation officer, according to TMZ.com.
However, Shaggy 2 Dope, real name Joey Utslerhas, has been given permission to attend the band's annual Gathering of the Juggalos festival, which will take place in Ohio in July (15).
In a statement posted on the Insane Clown Posse's website, bandmate Violent J writes, "We thought we had everything worked out and squared away to travel cross-country and meet up with the Juggalo fam (fans) to celebrate the release of... (their album) The Marvelous Missing Link (LOST) but probation is serious s**t and we can't f**k around with that. BUT DON'T WORRY! WE WILL BE BACK ON TOUR VERY SOON AND THE GATHERING IS ABSO-F**KING-LUTELY STILL GOING DOWN (sic)!"
Shaggy 2 Dope pleaded no contest to the driving under the influence charge last year (14) and was handed 18 months of probation.
