The Park Bench Trailer

Emily has an intense passion for literature and dreams of becoming a librarian. First though, she has been assigned to tutor an undergrad student of American Literature named Mateo, who is less than enthusiastic about their forthcoming study sessions. Despite being at odds with each other to begin with, they decide to meet at the same bench in a nearby park three times every week. Mateo finds the works of classic authors to be tedious, despite Emily's obvious passion for them, but when personal ambitions and memories are unveiled between the duo, they find themselves connecting in ways they could only imagine. When Emily becomes engaged, however, things turn a little sour; Mateo might be a catch for many girls in the city, but over the last few weeks he's started to realise that there's only one girl he wants. But will his determination to win her heart wreck their friendship entirely?

With the encouragement of music promoter Kim Fowley (Shannon), Cherie becomes an iconic presence on stage and off, propelling the group into previously uncharted territory as female rockers. And while Joan and the other bandmates (Maeve, Taylor-Compton and Shawkat) take the lifestyle in their stride, Cherie is continually drawn back to her big sister (Keough) and absent parents (O'Neal and Cullen).
