The Weeknd Childish Gambino Dua Lipa Adam Lambert Pearl Jam

It's been a terrible month for music with the coronavirus destroying the live circuit and condemning us to our homes, but it's not been all bad. We've had these incredible albums to listen to. Silver linings!

Childish Gambino - 3.15.20

Donald Glover's fourth album, his first RCA release and supposedly his final release under his "Childish Gambino" moniker, is probably one of the most exciting albums of 2020 so far. 3.15.20 is a conceptual, trippy record with a rich, retro vibe. We're not even mad that most of the tracks don't have proper titles; we'll make it our business to learn them anyway.

Happy 4th of July one and all; it's the most patriarchal day of the year for Americans and, while that might divide opinions due to the colonialist history of the holiday, America is certainly a nation worth singing about.

Kacey Musgraves - Golden HourKacey Musgraves - Golden Hour

First of all, we were hugely surprised to see a country album take the Album of the Year prize for the first time since Taylor Swift's Fearless in 2010; Kacey Musgraves won the coveted award as well as Best Country Album for Golden Hour, while songs Space Cowboy and Butterflies won Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance respectively.

Grammy Awards Childish Gambino

With the 61st Grammy Awards fast approaching, we have revised the long list of nominees once again and think we've made up our mind about who will be taking home the big prizes this year. These are definitely who we think deserve the wins this year, though it's likely there will be a few surprises in store.

Childish Gambino - This Is AmericaChildish Gambino - This Is America

First off, Childish Gambino's This Is America is without a doubt the strongest contender for the coveted Record of the Year, Song Of The Year and Best Music Video prizes. Frankly, Donald Glover will be robbed if he does not receive all three of these for this iconic song which has become an anthem for the generation under Trump's government.

The Year Of The Plagiarist: Artists Accused Of Stealing Music In The Last Year

Childish Gambino Ed Sheeran Taylor Swift

It seems we can't go a year without some big hit being slapped with an accusation of plagiarism by a usually not-famous songwriter. In 2014 it was Robin Thicke and Pharrell's 'Blurred Lines', then it was Sam Smith's 'Stay With Me' and Mark Ronson's 'Uptown Funk', and the case regarding Led Zeppelin's 'Stairway To Heaven' was even appealed in 2017.

This last year really seems to have been thick with copyright infringement claims, with the latest being Childish Gambino and his politically-charged monster hit 'This Is America'.
