Viewers of The Bachelorette got a thoroughly satisfying finale, when Andi Dorfman and her chosen one, Josh Murray got engaged at the end of a grueling season. The season was marred by the death of Eric Hill before the show even aired.

It was a long road, but Andi thinks she's bagged a winner.

At the end of the season, Andi was set on her choice – so much so, that she dumped her other suitor, Nick, on the morning of the final ceremony. And after the final rose was handed out, Josh proposed – oldschool, down on one knee.

After being on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, some people like to retire completely from the reality show circuit, but others, like Ashley Rosenbaum, decide to live out major moments onscreen. Rosenbaum appeared on the Bachelorette reunion show on Monday, baby bump and all, and shared some big news – the sex of her unborn baby. In fact, not only did she announce it, Ashley herself found out on camera, for once being on the other side of a live reveal.

The Rosenbaums have been together since 2011, Season 7 of The Bachelorette.

She and husband JP found out that the little one will be a boy at the same time, with Ashley gushing: 'He's gonna look just like little JP over here!' leaving her husband to quip: 'I hope so!'

Current Bachelorette Andi Dorfman might have been really good at her job, but she isn’t doing it anymore. The 2012 Wake Forest Law School graduate became an assistant district attorney there in November of that year, according to her LinkedIn profile.

The current Bachelorette has been working at the District Attorney's office since 2012.

However, the newly minted reality star has reportedly quit her position at the Fulton County District Attorney’s office following her Bachelorette commitment, TMZ reports. According to the gossip website, Dorfman was granted four months of unpaid leave from her job to film the ABC programme and possibly find the love of her life. She would have to return to work by May 31.

Former Bachelorette Emily Maynard has found love – just not where she was looking for it. Maynard, a single mother from North Carolina, Married longtime boyfriend Tyler Johnson at a surprise ceremony this Saturday. Johnson is a automotive management consultant, so it looks like Maynard (now going by Emily Johnson) is moving away from the world of reality TV for good.

Maynard felt "embarrassed and ashamed" about her broken engagements.

"For so long I felt so embarrassed and ashamed about that TV stuff," said the new Mrs. Johnson, whose televised engagement to Bachelor Brad Womack ended in 2011. A year later, her engagement to Jef Holm on The Bachelorette didn’t work out either

This week The Bachelorette took to the most romantic place in the world – Connecticut. Alright, so this episode wasn’t quite as “exciting” as its billing, but we get it – the production needs to cut costs, where it can ahead of next week’s jet setting. So the gentlemen arrive at Mohegan Sun and it’s time to party – which in this case means that all of them share a pre-date hot tub. Okay then.

The first one-on-one date for the episode falls to Dylan, which is appropriate because, wow can that man talk. He and Andi share an empty Essex Steam Train for a romantic journey and Dylan dives straight in with the deep questions. What was your longest relationship? Why did it end? Somehow that leads into Dylan telling the story of his brother’s death and breaking up with his ex on the day of the funeral – it’s all very confusing, depressing and just plain heavy.

This week on The Bachelorette was heavy. And not just because we saw Andi cry.

There were lots of twists on The Bachelorette this week, along with a healthy dose of second-hand cringe for anyone watching. Beware of spoilers, if you haven’t guessed already.

So what happens when you put an accountant in a reality love competition and add booze to the mix? NOT GOOD THINGS is the answer, as Craig helpfully demonstrated during a not-so-glamorous group date. The unfortunate boozer ended up jumping into a pool with his clothes still on and possibly getting himself kicked off the show – it wasn’t immediately obvious.

At this point it's anyone's game for Andi Dorfman's heart.

Eric Hill, a Bachelorette contestant, who was severely injured in a paragliding accident on Sunday, has died. His sister, Karen Tracy made the difficult announcement via Facebook on Wednesday, April 23. The brief status read: "Eric shared his final journey with us this morning as all his immediate family were able to be at his side when he passed away. Thank you to all of your love and support and prayers and fasting. It was amazing to be with so many of his friends and family yesterday in the hospital who came to express their love for Eric."
