Fact: The Hunger Games actor Liam Hemsworth and rising star Jessie Usher have been cast in the much-anticipated sequel to Independence Day, which is set to hit cinemas on 24 June, 2016, nearly 20 years after the first installment's premiere.

Fact: Plans to re-release 1996 blockbuster Independence Day in 3D have been scrapped. The alien movie was due to be re-formatted for cinemas next summer (Jul13). No reason was given for the cancellation.
