The 'Simpsons' have let us in on their festive couch gag, ahead of the show's special Christmas themed episode which airs on Fox this Sunday (December 7th). Fans of the series will certainly not be disappointed by the special opening, which references a little Disney movie that we hear is pretty popular.
'The Simpsons's' famous couch gets a Frozen makeover this Christmas
The entire opening sequence of the famous series has been given a Christmas makeover for the special episode, with Springfield shown covered in snow and Bart writing lines of ‘Reindeer does not taste like chicken’.
Let it go? That's just not Disney's style.
Don’t let it go just yet, because Disney is far from retiring Frozen. In fact, it’s cashing in on the franchise’s unprecedented popularity with another sequel and a musical. So says Idina Menzel anyway. It was far from a definite “yes”, but in a recent interview, the Frozen star was asked about the sequel and musical rumours and replied: “They’re all in the works.”
Unfortunately, Idina will not star in the stage version.
In the work, guys. More Anna and Elsa, guys. I’m... not sure that’s such a great idea. But what’s even more questionable is that the brains over at Disney have apparently chosen not to have the Broadway vet star in the stage version. No no, don’t panic, Menzel is still set to voice her beloved character in the screen version.

Someone has claimed intellectual property rights over the "Frozen" story and it wasn't Hans Christian Andersen.
If you haven’t seen or at least heard about Disney’s Frozen, then this article will make no sense to you whatsoever, so all three people, who’ve managed to escape it – go wikipedia that now. All up to speed? Good. So, the popular consensus is that the story about two princesses rediscovering the meaning of friendship, sisterhood and independence was based on Hans Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen. But one woman begs to differ. New Jersey-based author Isabella Tanikumi has launched a lawsuit against Disney, on grounds that the plot of Frozen was lifted from her books Living My Truth and Yearning of the Heart and indirectly, from her life story.
Frozen became one of Disney's biggest hits, but was all that success based on plagiarism?
So is Tanikumi heir to the throne of a small Nordic country, who discovered at a young age that her powers of cryokinesis (it’s a real word, google it.) Not quite. But her lawsuit does cite 18 instances of similar material, including including details on the village, the sisters, the older sister accidentally hurting the younger sister, the younger sister losing her memory, and even two male characters that Tanikumi had named Hans and Christoff. In the film, the male characters are Hans and Kristoff.

Arendelle is coming to Florida!
It was only a matter of time before Disney increased the presence of Frozen at its theme parks and it seems Epcot is to become the first to get the Anna and Elsa treatment. On Friday Tom Staggs, chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts announced a new attraction based on the hit movie, which the company plans to launch in early 2016.
Frozen will be coming to Epcot by 2016
“We’ve made Frozen a part of the guest experience in a number of ways already and our guests have both loved them and asked for more,” said Staggs. “So I’m pleased to say that we’re starting construction at Walt Disney World Resort on a brand new Frozen attraction at the Norway Pavilion in Epcot.”
To the delight of worldwide fans, Elsa, Anna and the gang will be back for a short sequel in 2015
Considered to be one of the best, if not the best, Disney animated feature film and musical since the era of such greats as The Little Mermaid and The Lion King, 2013’s Frozen stole people’s hearts all around the world. It was a huge success, both commercially and critically, ranking as the highest-grossing animated film of all time and recieved two Academy Awards and a BAFTA.
Disney's Frozen captured hearts everywhere
But after the whirlwind of princesses, ice castles, unlikely heroes and catchy songs - how would millions of children (and adults) worldwide ever find anything that could live up to the high bar Frozen had set?
From a couple’s divorce to a whole generation of little Elsa's, thanks ‘Frozen’.

What are your prospects when you look like a Disney princess?
If you’re looking for a real life version of Elsa from Frozen, you’d be hard pressed to find anyone better than Anna Faith Carlson. The 18 year old from Florida has quickly become a viral sensation thanks to her uncanny resemblance to the popular Disney princess. But what does the future hold for the living, breathing version of Elsa, really, what are the career options for a real life Disney princess?
Elsa and Anna, the animated versions
Anna Carlson looks like Elsa from Frozen, this is pretty much an indisputable fact and something which the young model is all too well aware of. Anna was the one who first noticed the resemblance when she sat down to watch Frozen for the first time last December. "Every time I watch [the movie], it's weird because it's like I'm watching myself. It's kind of creepy,” she told the Orlando Sentinel newspaper. As creepy as watching the movie might be, Anna has no problem with exploiting her Elsa resemblance for a few thousand likes on Instagram. Her profile is full of pictures of herself dressed as the Disney character and she even went to her high school prom in full Elsa garb! But she’s also been putting her unique claim to fame to good use, by visiting sick children at Florida hospitals and performing a special rendition of ‘Let it Go’, the film’s famous song. To add extra authenticity to her act, she’s even recruited her actual sister, Lexie Grace, to perform with her playing Elsa’s sibling in the movie.

She actually works as an Elsa impersonator, making appearances at special occasions, including children's birthday parties and proms, reports ABC News.

Tony’s, Tony’s, Tonyyyy’s! Cue life affirming musical montage. It’s almost TIme for the 2014 Tony Awards! Has it been that long since last year’s? Well, yes. This year’s lineup looks mega promising, so here’s a little rundown of what to expect tonght.
A decade after his first time hosting, Hugh Jackman returns to fill some big shoes.
This year’s host is Hugh Jackman and while we’ll miss NPH, that beacon of Tony excellence, as a host (don’t worry, he’s still dropping by to perform with the cast of Hedwig and the Angry Itch), Mr. Jackson’s past appearances at the awards are no less a thing to behold. Example:
There's going to be a lot of "bounce" at tonight's Tony Awards, or so host Hugh Jackman is promising on Instagram. But what else do we know about the award ceremony?
The Tony Awards always promises to be a night of drama, stirring songs and as many celebrities as it is physically possible to pack into the Radio City Music Hall, New York. As it's always something of an occasion even for those who haven't tread the Broadway boards, here's what we know so far about tonight's award ceremony:

The due behind the hugely successful songs of Disney's Frozen have announced a new musical, but what can we expect from the production?
Anything Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez put their name to will immediately turn to gold given the monumental success of Frozen and their hugely respectable selection of highly regarded past projects. The animated Disney film not only won an Oscar for the song “Let It Go”, which featured Idina Menzel on vocals, but also attracted audiences so extensive it helped cement the film as the biggest Disney smash in years. Children were enraptured by the soaring anthems penned by the Lopez duo whilst it also found acceptance and admiration from adults.
The songwriting duo celebrate winning the Oscar for Best Original Song.
They also provided the music for 2011’s stage adaptation of Winnie The Pooh as well as the stage translation of Finding Nemo. Robert Lopez has also won accolades for his song writing that helped spur South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s The Book Of Mormon, as well as puppet-based musical Avenue Q, to box-office smashes. The next venture from the in-vogue song writing duo will be the stage musical Up Here which is set for a run at San Diego’s La Jolla Playhouse during the 2015-16 season.
The award winning husband and wife team behind 'Frozen' are planning a new musical.

Prestigious Californian theater company La Jolla Playhouse said on Tuesday that the show will be part of its 2015-2016 season and will be directed by Tony Award winner Alex Timbers.
