Hyde & Beast release their debut single, 'Never Come Back', on their own label, 'Tail Feather Records' on August 8th 2011. The single is taken from their debut album, 'Slow Down', which will be released on August 15th.
The video for Never Come Back was directed by photographer Ian West and edited by Neil Burdess. The video is shot in black and white and shows Hyde & Beast performing while dancers in masks play the trumpet and lie in front of the drum kit, adding to the 60's-esque psychedelic vibe that inspires the band.
Based in Sunderland, in the North East of England, Hyde & Beast are made up of Futurehead's drummer Dave Hyde and Golden Virgin's drummer Neil Bassett. After releasing their cover of Medicine Head's '(And the) Pictures in the Sky' last month (June 2011), they have since appeared on Marc Riley's BBC 6 show and have played a number of shows in the North East, often accompanied by Dave Hyde's brother and fellow member of Futureheads, Barry Hyde. Hyde & Beast also played Manchester's Deaf Institute in June and are set to play Sunderland's Split Festival on September 18th, with more live dates to be announced.
